Couldn't have said it better my self, (Don't take what he said out of context, he's saying the people that complain about things like assasin). From the get go I knew this was going to be a rough one with everything there where explaining they where going to do that was just catering to noobs as well as the maps. Don't get me wrong, some GREAT maps so far, but a sh*t load of GARBAGE too.
One man's "catering to noobs" is another man's "running a successful business".
Businesses can get by with repeat customers. Franchises expand with new business. Are some of the repeat customers going to leave? Certainly, but that would have happened regardless of what they did with this version of CoD. One of the keys to running a successful business is managing your repeat customers while growing your customer base with "noobs".
Don't pander so much to a new player if you want returning ones. Every game comes with a learning curve. This is an issue with generations growing up with this ridiculous sense of entitlement, when you pick up a game, especially player vs player, you should expect to suck at it for a while. What is the gratification in a game if there is no risk/reward, no challenge? Also there are other much better ways to help out newer players, the map designe of this COD was one way they tried, and it was absolutely the wrong way, instead of making so many power positions the put hallways and corners everywhere, new players are going to die a lot and not know what to do with a map and more importantly how spawns are going to playout on said map. So what does that mean? It means a **** ton of campers! All this catering to 'noobs' is only making the problem worse, they just don't seem to be learning at all in this COD, and that's because they're being spoon fed, you're just breading ignorance and all of these things will eventually lead to a sh*t community as well. BAM, dying game with not as many returning happy customers and a crappy game design reputation. *cought* WoW going through the same things.
***ONCE, again being invisible to UAV killsteaks, no red name when targeted etc... NOT an issue, but when a perk has that plus way more and no counter then throw it into these maps with these spawn systems and more players than ever that have no idea how to manipulate the spawns offensively or defensively, then it's an issue. ***
