what do you think about the IW punishment procedure
Treyarch was harder on cheaters. To be honest people in MW3 are getting off easy. Do the crime, do the time. In this case, for a first offense, that involves a 2 day ban and rank reset and your stats get messed up. And all the people coming here whining and crying about it are just amusement for all of us legit players.

It is too soft imo. It should be stricter. I think a a fist time offense should get you a weeks ban not just 48 hours. second time should be a month and third time should be a year. and if you come back and do it fourth time then its permament.
I think they should reset everyting but deaths and losses, and that includes player tittles and emblems but not the lifetime challenges. I think on the second or third they should be perma banned from the leaderboards.

I think it was a bit extreme but apparently since unlocking a gun or a perk gives such an unfair advantage they must be cheating right?I mean that has to be why all of you guys are crying so much right? What ever gun or perk they unlocked was just unstoppable right?Wrong quit crying get your game and stop hating on folks. It's funny you guys are all up in arms about this stuff but no one bothers to ask how much it cost to create this soft ware to make the system aware of those who abused this glitch yet latency is still a huge problem and no dedicated servers after being the best selling franchise for 5 years and they wont spend to fix an obvious issue that defintely gives a major advantage.

i think IW should stick to what they are doing and be lucky im not in charge of the punishments if i had my way it would be
a week ban
full stat reset
unable to prestige at all in mw3

stricter .
1st offence a week ban, stats reset and no longer have the option of using prestige tokens.
2nd offence year ban
3rd offence perma ban and report to MS with a resulting console ban

I would say more strict if anything. There were so many more threads about people complaining about getting banned in the BLOPS forums. I know that's a horrible way to judge the difference, but I feel that IW takes their time in issuing bans, and doesn't make it as serious.
