I would like to see the continuation of bans for hackers/modders and throw boosters into the mix. Just take a hardline approach with these people and it will soon die out. It should be console bans as well and not just account bans.

Hacking was dealt with quickly in B.O. and never in Mw2.

I never prestiged past 4 on Mw2, what was the point, when EVERYONE hacked their way to 10th on there.  seeing so many hacked level 10's, it no longer made it "prestigious" to get there, better to be 4, where no one questions your prestige.  as far as black ops, they were so busy actually finishing their game, that they had little time to deal with anyone except the most egregious cheaters.

Hackers, boosters and people abusing the game with modified equipment do spoil the game. They spoil the game for the people who do not do this and they spoil their own opportunity to play the game in a conventional intended way. In summary they the spoil the game the way it was intended. If developers and console manufacturers could stop all forms of the above with software programming and hardware defences they would. So to make strong deterents, punishing and eliminating offenders would begin to set the balance right, edge the game back to equilibrium, allow fair play and enhance gamer satisfaction from individual combats to entire careers of prestiging or even COD series gaming.

I cannot see why investment in warnings, protocols and notices at the start of new title's cycle will not be sufficient enough to justify immediate blanket bans on any offenders. They disgust me - not for the severity of their crime, but for the anonymity and guilt-free scenario they experience by not being held responsible for millions' inconvenience. It's time to give a consequence to an action and show that it is wrong.

It is completely justified. It's something I think all of us could get behind. Get those people outta the game that way the rest of us can enjoy it.

I totally agree with rlbl in what he is saying about banning Ip's and consoles, but it would take a long time to start to have any effect when it is so easy to setup a new account. if the playstation network wasn't free and they charged to use online multiplayer like xbox then yes that would help a bit as it also means they would have to buy more online time therefore ending up costing the hackers more money than its worth. I am seriously considering putting call of duty in the cupboard and never taking it out again due to hackers. what is the point playing a game when some-one has an unfair advantage over it? I think instead of blanket bans and console blocks why don't IW/SH Xbox and PS3 hire a proper delta squad members, locate these would be cheating f**cking scumbags and see how they fare up against someone who has an unfair advantage over them wen they are taking out and shot for runing the lives and enjoyment of millions of people who like to play these games without the need to hack or boost???
