Yeah BlackOps is a very good game and i think it was very underrated.

The maps are great (much more variety and allows for more strategy)

The spawns are better then MW3.

The lag compensation is no where near as bad as MW3.

The combat record, scoreboards  and leaderboards really makes MW3's look amateur.

They actually fixed a large amount of issues quickly via patches, MW3 is up to update 7 and it is still garbage.

I can't wait for 3arch's next installment.

I was actually about to post this EXACT same topic. I took a break from MW3 and BF3 to get some hours in on Skyrim so its been almost a week since I played MW3 if I had to guess.

When I starteed up MW3 I was waiting for it to say update available. But no luck. This game has been out for what? Almost 2.5 months? And there are still issues in the game that were there on launch!

So I hop in a game of TDM with some friends and what do I find?

On the enemy team

3 of the guys are running around with akimbo FMG9s

2 of the guys are using a sniper rifle like its a damn rail gun

and 1 guy was sitting in the corner with a striker and extended mag

On my team myself and my 2 friends are the only ones using ARs and SMGs. The other 3 guys on our team would switch between QSing and the FMG9s

I'm still getting lag compensation out the a**, I'm still getting killed by what looks like one bullet from an SMG, the hit detection is still off, and I'm still spawning right in the enemies sights.

MW3 is no longer fun for me or any of my friends. So we decided to pop in black ops and give that a go. Holy crap! Were the first words to come to mind! I'll admit that our first few games we got murdered but you know what? We had a blast because we were finally playing a competitive FPS game!  I kept getting sniped when playing dom but when I watched the killcam I saw that the sniper was atually aiming! This blew my mind! I wanted to shake that guys hand as this is something I haven't seen in months!

I also went and played MW2 today.  At first it was wonderous until the bombardment of endless tubes started flying.  And then I also realized I was the only one in the lobby actually playing domination,  everyone else was going for a nuke. 

The hit detection was spot on for the most part,  I wish MW3 would use their code from that game.

I did however hit a triple headshot collateral.  First time I've ever gotten a triple.  Wish I would have been capping

I agree about the quick scoping in MW3 though that is just rough programming.

In my opinion, they're both great games but MW3 could do with a bit of work on their multiplayer maps. Not much strategy available. A lot of work went into making both games.

Totally agree with the OP. Black Ops is way better than MW3 .Anyone that says it's not is just lying to themselves or works for Infinity Ward. MW3 blows comared to Black Ops. All this stuff you have to pay for in MW3 is free in Black Ops. MW3 doesn't even tell you in game who capped or defended the flag. Same thing in Domination. No stats.

I play black ops more then MW3.I know it's going to take some time to tweak MW3 and work the small bugs out. the best thing about black ops now that a lot of ppl are playing MW3 is that it plays so smooth. i'd say areound 95% of the lag is gone, the hit markers are better, and no more of it taking a full clip and a half to kill somebody.

I just traded mine too.

So I'll be heading to the Black Ops forum.

Weirdly, MW3 felt so restrictive. Treyarch & IW have totally different playing styles. It's just not my cup of tea.
