Hi everyone. I'll repeat the main points from my reply in the technical support forum on this thread.

A lot of people here are unhappy. I'm really sorry about that. I know my answers can't change your legitimate gripes. However, I'm hoping that we can start to show you guys some real progress and you feel like we are listening.

While I can't give you a free month of ELITE, I will try and answer some of the big gripes from the technical support thread.

Clan Operations:

We're working hard on this, and the feature is in development now. As it moves into testing and release, I will keep you guys updated. I've sat with the engineer working on it, the design is complete. It's on the way, and when it enters the final stages of test, I will keep you guys updated.

Video Uploads:

I don't know if you had a chance to read GHANDI's reply in the other thread about this, but there are a lot of things going on with video upload right now, and there will be a TU for MW3 in January to address them. We're also going to be adding some extensive error messaging into ELITE as a hotfix this week. We'll keep you posted.

Where is the DLC?

DLC hasn't been delayed. There will be announcements on this soon. You will get your DLC, for sure. We have been looking at it here, and it looks pretty great.

Real prizes & Operations:

Some of the smaller prizes you've seen were part of testing process. We'll be ramping up the prizes over the next month. Stay tuned.

Do we care? Why haven't we sorted out the problems?

I'm sorry that there hasn't been anyone around to respond directly to your concerns. We're trying to fix that. This post, and others, are our first meagre attempts. We're not expecting to win you over with promises -- only results. We'll do our best.

I work at Beachhead on the development team. Right now, I'm trying to help the team keep abreast of burning issues -- bugs, major problems, and broken promises.

Once I'm done helping out with that we'll start talking to you guys about what's in the pipeline and what's being worked on. I'm happy to give you guys details.

When I said Clan Operations is being worked on, that means I've spoken to the engineer who is working on the code, looked at the design, and it's making progress into our test environment. Once something hits our test environment, we bang on it until it feels solid and then roll it out.

I wish we could move faster. But to be honest, some of the issues we encountered around launch were due to moving too quickly. We would rather get something out to you guys that we feel is solid then continue to piss off the community.

I feel they should not charge us at all until it is fully operational.Here is an analogy for you beach head I go buy a brand new car but the dealership says Its not fully functional yet and we have to work out some bugs so you have to pay full price until we get this fixed Honestly would you ever agree to that I sure as heck know I wouldnt. If you charge somebody for a product you advertised as having such features as Clan operations Clan challenges and such then after they pay for it you inform them they cant use these features yet because the product they thought they were buying is not ready yet. That is what we call ILLEGAL FALSE ADVERTISING. It is your legal obligation to give us what we payed for.If you do not give us free credit until the product is working as originally advertised then I fear a class action lawsuit may be in the works.People are sick and tired of companies taking our hard earned money and not holding up their side of the bargain.Dont reply to this saying you understand my frustration its an insult to my intelligence and a bulls**** attempt for sympathy from us if you truly understood you would do what your customers ask of you as a company. You forget without us the customers there is no ACTIVISION,BEACHEAD or INFINITY WARD.

OK something you guys have to understand is that $50 was not just for the ELITE service it was also for the DLC that you will be getting and not have to pay for. Because if you didn't have ELITE Premium you would be waiting and paying for DLC just like the rest of the free ELITE members. Only a small chunk of that $50 goes to ELITE for the ELITE TV, Operations and Improve the rest of the site is free to use. Now yeah it sucks that the Operations haven't started yet but I would rather them punch out a GOLD system that can detect the cheaters and wipe them from the face of the earth with the laser beam they have on an island in Tahiti than have them throw a broken foulable system at me that is just going to piss me off even more. With that being said it is not up to Beachhead wether we get more time free it is up to Activision and from what I have been hearing on the forums is that we should not be holding our breaths because Activison doesn't want to make us happy like Beachhead would like to do. They are working there asses off to get the site operational for all of us and they are the only development team that has been 90% transparent as to what they are doing what they messed up and how they plan to fix it. Yes G IH A IN ID II has been responding to the community but IW has him under an oath of silence due to intellectual rights crap that they don't want to give out to the general public. But what ever. Keep on Beachhead until it is fixed because they openly admit that they screwed up unlike other un-named people and want to hear it all until they can say with 100% certainty that we are 100% happy with what they have and will be giving us in the future. At the moment I am at about 50% happiness with ELITE and it goes up everyday that Beachhead reaches out to the community to answer our question even on Christmas day when they should be with their families not dealing with us. But they know they brought that on themselves and are dealing with it like champions in my opinion. sorry for the rant I am done thank you and GAME ON!!

i'm not mad. i'm just dissapointed.

Elite is an expiring commodity.  What I mean is that we make a prepayment up front and each day the company recognizes a small portion of our payment as revenue.  In this case each day $0.14 per day per subscription is recognized as revenue by the company.  Now since we as the consumer cannot go back and “save” each day as it passes, the utility of the product is lost, or in this case expires. 

One poster used a car as an example, however in the end you still own the car, so that analogy is incorrect to Elite in this matter.  The subscription to Elite is more along the lines of purchasing fruit.  You buy an apple on day one, but you can’t eat it due to the fact the FDA won’t let you take it home.  Each day that passes the fruit rots and loses value to you.  You cannot stop the rotting process while the FDA holds your apple so it continues.  By the time the FDA lets you have the apple it is completely rotten and inedible.  The commodity expired and the value you had originally sought is gone.

In this case all we would like is for the companies to halt the clock on the expiration of our commodity (the 12 month subscription).  By adding time to the end of the period, they allow us to realize the true value of the product that we purchased.   

I have had so many problems with elite that it would take me hours to list them so i wont. The main point i would like to mention is that there was a whole host of features advertised and used as a selling point for elite yet nearly 2 months on there are features that are not working or available. I understand this may take time and im not expecting miracles but my subscription shouldnt be burning away until i get what i was promised. If my isp who also supplies my phone line failed to supply the internet connection but said 'sorry but at least your phone is working so you can continue to pay the full fees until we have your internet connection working' i would tell them to take a long walk off a short pier! yes elite is (partially) working but that is not what i agreed to or paid for. There is absolutely no way that my subscription should be burning away until i receive the full service which i bought. I paid X for 12 months of FULLY FUNCTIONAL ELITE and it looks like the companies supplying this are trying to short change all premium elite users. I EXPECT to get the whole 12 months of a fully functional elite as advertised and nothing less. I will be keeping an eye on elite and the services they provide and will be mega pissed if i dont receive 12 months from the date when ALL advertised features are available.

The only thing I have been seeing from ELITE on their Twitter page is either thanking users for compliments, oh and talking about friday night fights. But, many people I know and play with, including myself, and a large ammount of other users have been asking for updates on the Clan Operations and still nothing. I am also not happy with the ammount of feed back we are getting. I am sure that many people would like to know what is happening at that moment. Even if it is saying some along the lines of "Coding being done". The community wants to be appart of Infinity Ward/BeachHead/Elite, not to be cast aside and be told to "Stay Tuned for updates" when the updates never come.

Back to the original topic. I sign, let my membership start when everything ELITE advertised and commercialized becomes available and able to be used.

This has been nothing but a huge joke. I dont care if they add another month or 20 years of free service. Why would I want extra time for a product that is so inferior? Would you take a lifetime of spoiled meat because someone made your big mac wrong? Hell no! So what would be the purpose of extra time at the end of this "service"? I will be playing some other game by that time anyways.

And if I seen another idot try to tell me how great of a job BH has done by keeping us updated then Im gonna scream! Just because they come on the forums once every few weeks to tell everyone "we are working on the issue" does not count as an update. I also find it funny how they got that stupid "friday night fights" working...because of the advertisements, and yet they cant seem to figure out how to get the clans straightened out or even keep some of the other features working! I tried to join lonewolf operatiosn tonight and couldnt join ANY OF THEM!! But if I wanted to go watch some dumbass fight some other dumbass on the ELITE tv, that sure was working. GET YOUR DAMN PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!! We are the ones who put a billion dollars in your pockets in 16 days (and thats not even counting the sales before the release) And we will be the ones who decide what games or "services" we will or will not like in the future...you guys are playing with fire and you dont even realize it.
