Why are kills I got being taken away after a game is finished I´m missing an x amount of kills on elite on quite a few games, I´m guessing dashers / people that sign out cause this, but what about fixing this game breaking issue? I thought dashboarding was made ineffective?

We are aware of this issue and actively working on a fix. It is caused by games that run for too long overrunning the record buffer. The system currently discards further reports in these instances. This will be resolved in the New Year.
We apologize for the inconvenience in the interim.

Hello djam,
In any client server architecture, be it listen server or dedicated, lag occurs when there is a disparity in the time taken for player state updates to travel back and forth between the clients and the authoratitive state determining machine, the host. This can be caused by many factors. Poor host selection or performance; people from far reaching geographies or with different up/down packet travel time to the host playing in the same session; a throttling of a player's upstream or downstream bandwidth after initial matchmaking (either intentionally - lag switching) or from contention on their connection from other simultaneous up/down household demands; lost packets which require network messages to be resent; bandwidth throttling by ISPs during peak hours. The list goes on and on.
Clearly a lot of these are out of the game developer's ultimate control and to be frank some are intractable problems. As I've said before we are committed to continually looking for ways to ensure the game handles these situations effectively and for opportunities to optimize our network layer, matchmaking system and all related components to ensure the experience is as good as possible for everyone.
I hope this answers your question.
Best,

It doesn't.
I was just playing as the host and what was seen on my screen just wasn't even remotely in sync with what's happening according to the game I'm hosting. How can this be caused by anything you've listed there?
Also, why didn't MW2 have this issue if the problem is on our ends like you claim.

Why is there consideration to toning down the shotgun even further? Nerfing the extending mags to the shotgun will make it even more stressful. Extended mags should be considered a plus because you do not unlock it untill level 26. And ranking a shotgun to that level is very aggrivating, but of course I am mainly talking about the pump action shotguns. If yall need to do anything to the shotguns, it needs to be toning down the striker. The striker's range is way too good and the fire rate is rediculous.

Without getting into the fundamentals of our engine it is possible that apparent lag can occur for a host in certain circumstances for the reasons I list above. This was true of MW1 and MW2 also. This is one of those areas we are looking at and have built in the ability to tune live in the wild. This tuning will begin after the holiday period.
djam I've a feeling that left unchecked we're going to go back and forth on this some more and to be honest I'd prefer to focus on finding solutions to issues rather than explaining the inner workings of the MW3 engine. I promise this will be better for both of us in the long run. Can we please call 'time out' on this post-tennis for now? Please know that I have heard and sympathize with your frustration and repeat my guarantee that the team will continue to look at everything you've raised as an issue as an ongoing priority.
Respectfully,

Never happened to me in MW2. When I was the host, I did not lag. No exceptions. If I had a good or even a decent connection to the host, I didn't lag either. Only when I was put into a lobby where I had 2 bars or less (which almost never happened) or when the host lagged/lagswitched, I experienced lag. The connections in MW2 were near-perfect.
I understand that you don't want to talk about this issue and I'm fine with the time out. I should probably focus on finding a game that doesn't punish me for having a great Internet connection.
Regards.
