"1 is a local problem while the other is a GLOBAL problem"
To the above: In case you hadn't noticed, the rest of the world is part of the globe. Player numbers may not say a huge lot, but the number of countries affected by the lack of a local search says enough. America is one country, albeit with the largest number of players. The rest of the world, or in other words: hundreds of countries have been having problems with matchmaking since Day 1. Indeed, the private match glitch was a severe one, and it needed to be fixed ASAP. But that's no reason to completely sideline the matchmaking fix. People have been asking for a fix for well over a month and a half. Infinity Ward should have been on it within that first month, if not the first week. Yet here we are, a month and a half later with two patches yet no matchmaking fix, no ETA and no real information on whether IW are even trying to fix it.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. To answer your thread, it's because of comments like this:
"They hate us because we are better. hahahah"
"Jealousy?"
"yes, they hate us because there douches and get frustrated cuz we pwn every single one of em"
"USA! ALL THE WAY!! USA! ALL THE WAY!!"
"AMERICA, &*$% YA!"
And that's just from this thread. About 90% of Americans that I play with are loud-mouth redneck ******** who feel that they have the right to pick on every single person in the lobby who isn't from the U-S-of-A. If I so much as open my mouth I get picked on for my accent. And thanks to the lovely matchmaking system, whenever I have a red dot connection I get told that my country is poor and that we can't afford a good internet connection. Heck, just last night an American joined the lobby and started asking if we were Australian. I replied with a "yes", and he started ranting and swearing about how we're all "Aussy *******".
I don't have anything against America as a country, but from my experience the majority of American gamers that I've encountered are insolent racist pricks. I can't say the same for any other country, and I'm sure many people outside of the US understand what I mean.
Sorry America. You're a good country with many good people, but your gamers don't give you a good reputation within the gaming community.
