The thing I dont understand is that the site that started all this - electronictheatre - also got the release sheet from an Activision official. This is from the site owner, after being challenged on where the site got the release sheet and dates:
The release schedule was received directly in an e-mail from Activision. I'm not about to out our source here on the forum (which I feel is what you might be hinting towards!) but rest assured, it came from an internal representative of Activision.

Most Europian online retailers have the 24th as the release date, and I - like many others - didnt notice it until it was pointed out to me on here (by Vrandas), but THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE DATE!!! It was that date BEFORE THE RUMOUR STARTED.
So whats up with this? I'll tell you what Im starting to think: I think this so-called "simultaneous world-wide release" is bogus. I think the Europians have always been slated for a 24th release date - hence the dates on the sites, hence the emails to Europians saying the date is the 24th, and hence the Activision official who gave the seasonal release sheet to electronictheatre.
This is why they can say "no delay, everything is on schedule" because the 24th has always been the scheduled date for Europe.
Remember: with COD4, Europe got it 1 WEEK LATER than the USA.
It will remain to be seen if my little theory turns out to be fact, but this is what Im thinking given all the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle.
