key word is "planned". If they sell like crazy (which they will) they'll definately make more.  Hell i bet WaW only had 1 planned from the start, but those are selling insane amounts, so naturally, there's more.

good point the map packs could have like 5-7 maps but im gonna guess it will be 3 most mappacks seem to like that number

I'd much rather have quality than quantity.  It seems that most of us agree on here that is the case.  I only got to play 3 of the 4 off the variety pack as I never played cage match or team taticial so killhouse was never in rotation.  Chinatown I skipped any chance I got after about 3 times playing it, and Creek I could take it or leave it.  The only one I enjoyed was Broadcast.  But is just me...others I'm sure feel the exact opposite.

2 planned2  map packs. There could easily be more. WaW likely only planned 1 or 2 but they're already on 3.
