Portable Radar and Claymore???

is it just me or does anyone else think it might be a little unfair/unblanced to be able to have a radar AND a bouncing betty/claymore? sounds like a campers dream to me...
agreed. I didn't know they used 2 different slots...
yeah i didnt either until just a little while ago... i mean i could be wrong about it. but if it is true i can see that getting out of hand. the only thing combating it is the fact that to have a claymore or bouncing betty you have to give up a grenade. but for those hardcore camper types i dont think that will really matter... i definitely see it being a potential problem
MW2 got it right when they forced you to choose between claymores and nades

that would be highly unbalanced BUT no need to fear because those are your choice of equipment only one or the other.
i think they use two different slots. everywhere i have looked says that claymore/bouncing betty is in the lethal slot. and portable radar is in the tactical slot...
wow i wasn't aware of this either... that is a huge problem. It should be in the same category.

Why they think its a good idea to put a motion sensor/portable UAV in the game in the first place is stupid, what happend to actually looking for kills in the game or do they think that the games audience will find that too hard? I remember COD4 the person who got the kill was usually better skilled but now its the person who is ADS at the doorway after his motion sensor tells him someone is walking in and all it does is promote camping and another reason to use assassin.
Its such a shame they make decisions like these especially since claymores are replenished by scavenger if the person you kill has claymores in his loadout which alot of people will so now you can camp even better than you ever could in black ops or MW2
this is why they should have followed Treyarch's idea by having equipment, tactical, and lethal spots....
I know the motion sensor is not "lethal" but it definitely fits with claymores and bouncing betties. Same for trophy system. That just doesn't fit with flashbangs and stuns.
I wasn't a fan of that system tbh - It just meant everyone could use the motion sensor or claymores without actually giving anything up..
I doubt it will be abused in MW3, there's enough counters plus the portable radar isn't unlocked until level 77.
You have to have a "Proficiency" to be able to do that, and if i recall, you unlock that proficiency pretty high up in the game...
I believe the portable radar will be throwable tactical grenades like in BFBC:2 with the throwable motion sensors.
holy crap if you can throw your radar that would be AWESOME! I could totally see myself hucking one at B in domination right off the bat and then observing where all the enemies are and frag them. First blood multi-kill ftw!

What a lame thread. Seriously, scavenger got nerfed (it's pro version), Not everyone will be running around with claymores, there's 2 perks dedicated to stopping claymores from having the advantage, assassin instantly counters radar, and to top that off, betties probably won't be that good.
Snipers need love and i like what they gave me. having portable radar and betties won't allow me to be ignorant to my surroundings. Gotta learn the game, gotta learn the levels, gotta learn player behaviors. My equipment doesn't play the game for me
Assassin + Sit-rep.
Assassin will counter the radar and sit-rep will show the radar from a mile away.
