Do you work for either Activision or IW? Or Any of the COD makers? You may have stated this before, so forgive me if I ask again

Why on Earth would ANY company making money give something away (that makes them more money) for free, that's retarded... it's your own fault for purchasing the game, now suck it up and deal with it, instead of whining like a little girl. Oh and stop labeling people as "fanboys" it's really pathetic, i swear the people who just throw it around are just some lonely loser, yes i will be buying trearchs next game, you know why? Because i love black ops and i love mw3... so why wouldn't i?

Sure IW could have used thing treyarch implemented such as the score boards, but that's not going to stop me from loving this game any less, sure the maps aint that great... but there are only 2-3 i dislike anyways.

So yer just stop it with these pointless post about giving "free DLC" or these stupid petitions, it's really pathetic.

They have been working on this game since CoD4.  It is basically the same as MW2 with a new campaign and a few different aspects to the online play.  They added weapon rankings, the trophy system, emp grenades, different weapons, some new kill streaks and ways to manage them, new multiplayer maps, 2 new game types, and 1 new custom gametype that they have tried to use as a diversion by putting it in matchmaking.  Everything else has roots in a previous CoD game.

They have basically released an expansion.  Expansions don't usually cost the same price as the game they are expanding from.  They could have easily added the maps that were fan favorites from MW2 and the ones that they repurposed for a MW2 DLC that were from CoD4.

I would like to think that by signing this it would actually mean something, but like many other responses, I think they don't care enough.  They obviously don't care enough to put the required effort into their "finished" product.  I would have been happier if they pushed the release a few months to work on the issues, but I doubt the outcome would have been any different.

See how you people dont even read ????

Now you may try to get back at me and call me a fanboy but never did I say "this is the best game ever" or something like that. Nor did I ever say you are wrong for feeling that way about the game. We all have opinions. And so MW3 is not the game for you for whatever reason you dislike it.

See what I said there. This is about ANY GAME out there. Plain and simple. You dont need to be a rocket scientist to uderstand it.

Did you ever hear the term "BUYER BEWARE " ??????

What that means is if you pre-pay for ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD and it sucks then that is your fault for forking over hard earned money without checking it out.

If you BUY ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD and dont check it out first well then you have yourself to blame.

NO WHERE in that post did I praise OR post hatred about the game. I even stated that everyone has opinions and I am not even critisizing THAT.

you DO have you opinion and I agree with your right to have it . I am not denying that.

    SID3P0

No I do not. I even stated I was not a fanboy. I am stating the simple and SHOULD BE easy to understand fact of life. If you are going to buy something then you should AT LEAST look into it before you give your money away.

Hence the reason I gave when I discussed Halo Reach. That analogy should be for ANYTHING you spend money on.

There is a thing called the internet. People should try using it sometime to educate themselves to help save themselves headaches and losing money and getting ripped off but they dont. The OP could have easily gone to Amazon and read ALL the customer reviews on the game before he forked over his 60 bucks.

Its like the people who pre-ordered the game and waited in line for ten hours and got home and started posting hate crap all over about how the game sucks.

Well its fine if they have their opinion. But because they feel that the game sucks is one thing. Thats a part of dealing with consumers. The fact in that case is that it is NOT the companies fault that they pre-ordered it.

No employee from Activision, TreyArch, EA Games, Microsoft, IW, JoeSchmoe ad agency forced the player to buy the game in advance nor did they force the player to buy the game at all.

The player is the one who made the decision to hand over his 60 bucks for the game. If you make a decision then YOU are the one who has to live with the consequences either good or bad.

So again no. I am not an employee or a fanboy. This happens to be one of the games I like , yes. I do not own stock in the game or the company. To even assume so just shows how close minded people can be.  Just like the assumptions and comebacks from Slothnaves reply.

If I owned stock in the game , why would I even be trying to change his mind ? I would have already made my one half a cent off him cause he already bought it. I would also not be hanging around the negative portions of the population but instead bringing in more positive people to make my one half a cent.

But as I already said before this post of mine is not in any way stating my opinion of the game or the company.

But dont take my post SID3PO as offensive . The part below your name is mostly for you as my response. The part above is for Mr Fingerpointing..

I get a bit sick of people like starbuckfrack on these forums when he always seems to think its the players fault and IW or Activision can't seem to do no wrong. I have read lots of his post and reply's and they all seem to follow the same sort of focus.

I bought MW3 because I really enjoyed black ops and call me stupid but I  considered the same effort and common sense would be used to design and build MW3. A game that should of been as good if not better than BO.

Why as a consumer should you starbuckfrack blame me for buying the game. If I had never bought a COD game then your comments would have some merit but I came to this game from BO and there for considered I would enjoy this one. Why should I be blames as a consumer that the game is no wear near as good as BO and seems more like a BETA game.

If you bought any product TV, Stereo or car for example and really found that a great item and then bought another model from the same company but found it was just an old model repackaged. Wouldn't that cheese you off. Past experiance plays a big part of people buying habits and this game has used the good game play of BO to draw people into thinking they would get more of the same. When in fact they got a pile of ****.

    vineuk

apparently you only read what you want to read. I never said they were without fault. If you actually took the time to actually read and understand then maybe you would get it.

as for yor TV analogy, wel did you STILL investigate the TV before you bought it ? No ? then blame yourself.

I even sid for the thousandth time that you people have opinions and respect that. I even mentioned multiple times in this thread alone that my post wasnt about the GAME !!!!!!!

If this were a forum about the Daewoo cars or some other "good brand" like the Toyotas with the accerleration problem I would say the same thing.

I will again post it in Crayon for the simple minded. And for people that also cant seem to understand I will now discuss the game. And for the billionth time I said I wasnt a fanboy, which you seem to ignore. Now I am a game designer who sees more of a reality then you will ever seem to understand. And I am the type of person who took control of my life early on and learned how to get past my own failures and just get one with my life. In a very many cases I know which tree I should be barking up and when its time to look in a mirror. And my first thought is always what I could have done to avoid the situation and learn from what I did wrong. You waste time tracking the wrong issue and you get nowhere in life. Especially something as simple as playing an online video game.

Time to grow up now. the time for crying is over. If you bought the game and you do not feel the game is up to your standards then take the thing to Gamestop and get off the forum. This kind of post from Slothnave is a pantywaist post.

You come in here posting "This game sucks and I am not buying another game" is worhtless. At what point will you people understand that Activision does not care when you post a "I hate this game. Goodbye" thread. They broke records this game and they will do it with the NEXT game.

now for a little history from someone who feels I am some kind of fanboy. Even though MANY times I have said I am not. Even though many time I have said there are problems in this game. Even though many times I have said there are some things I dont like in this game. Maybe for one time in your life you may actually understand.

MW2 - I bought it and like the good things about the game. The playing style etc. etc. etc. To me this game had good potential. The game had MAJOR issues such as lack of support, hackers galore, rock glitch in Fuel, no one getting banned, Care package glitch, etc.

So being a game developer I understood some things. No software is perfect and never will be. comapnys have issues such as the legal battle ensuing. there was even a thing called the internet which caused lag. A ton of people complaining on the board. The people that even played the game "knew" the next COD was going to majorly fail. The even said that other war games were going to kill it as soon as they came out.  But you know what ? the bad stuff never overshadowed the good things I liked about the game.

Black Ops - same good gameplay- this one even had hackers and boosters getting banned or reset. It still had some issues. It was the same story as MW2 except fo the legal battle. But at least it has support. The complainers in THIS game knew the next COD was going to fail. BF3 was going to come out and kill the series. Same amount of players were going to leave the series.

    MW3- same as Black Ops.

Well guess what. The series had people leaving before and never coming back. And it turned out that each new game broke world records even though all those people in the past "supposedly left".

So to people like Slothnave. Do you really think they care ? Did you actually think they ever cared about anything more than just making money ? All they are doing is putting money and time into a product that just coincidentally works.

Sure it has issues. Every single peice of software does. There will never be any perfect software or perfect game.

Well even in my past posts I have stated that in some ways this game is not better than Black Ops. But in some ways it IS better than Black Ops.

Now if you hade noticed I mentioned buying Halo due to past history of the series. You may also notice that I also blamed myself for jumping the gun.

So why dont you compare the fact that YOU bought the game do to past histroy and the similar part I said that I bought the game on past history.

Do you happen to see the same thing there or did you again ignore that part on purpose.

I blamed MYSELF for buying the game cause I didnt like the game afterward.

You blamed SOMEONE ELSE because you didnt like it.

Even though we both bought a game based on past history one of us took the finger out and pointed it at a different person. In this case you even admitted you assumed it would be just as good or better. Just like I assumed. so in this case is it ANY companies fault that you assumed the game would be good ? Is it the companies faulthat you assumed the TV was good ? Is if Nabiscos fault that you assume their snack mix would taste good.

Even though I have "past experience" playing the other games in the series I STILL weighed my options as to if I wanted to spend my hard earned 60 dollars on the game. Do you want to know my feelings on the gme two weeks before it came out ? I saw gameplay on the internet from a japanese player and he was playing Survival mode, which looked disappointing. Every week I would STILL investigate all that was going to be in the game.

What was doing for the past 6 months was waiting for MW3 to come out but STILL weighing my options. I "pre-ordered" the game from amazon but still held my decision to the las minute and those were for options in the game I didnt like. Survival mode, Faster Gameplay than Blops, same Graphical style than MW2, Same Gamestyle as MW2. Those things I did not prefer in the game compared to Black Ops. Even though in the past I liked the series I still had considerations for not wanting the game.

So when the time came to buy the game I weighed all the options that I investigated before I gave away my money.

Now you noticed in THIS POST I meantioned the game even though I also am talking in general. so you can also go to your hearts content and twist those words around too and admit that thru no fault of you own that Activision stole your money. And even though I did mention the game itself in this post I really still am not talking about the game. Only reason I meantioned the game at all in this post was for someone like "vineUK" to possibly have some undestanding.

But I doubt it because people while blindly fingerpoint at others besides themselves have very limited vision.

Not signed.  Anyone who thinks signing a petition on a game forum will make any difference in regards to Activision giving product away for free needs to rethink that idea.

Oh, and don't forget, as the old cliche around here goes, most of the people playing and enjoying this game don't even frequent these boards and couldn't care less.  So, three or four people "signing" this thing isn't going to amount to squat.

As much as I would enjoy a free map pack, it just isn't going to happen.

If IW/SH/RAVEN etc do not do something to compensate the community and every player world wide for the constant problems, then I feel this genre will just go like guitar hero and the game will be soon forgotten. Day one this game has been plagued, ok so they did fix minor glitches, such as climbing in a truck but what about spawns, lag etc.

In the long run it would make more sense to throw out a new map pack from everyone for free with the problems fixed and for founders of elite give them an extra 2 months. If this was successful they will sell a lot more map packs to non elite founders...

As of now I have no interest to waste anymore time or money in this game. Prove me wrong IW, heres your chance...
