So played this game for 2 days now. After the honeymoon phase we can come to the conclusion this game is disappointment. In fact the dictionary should read mw3 under "disappointment"
The obvious and game ruining lag issues and hilarious spawns aside, because without it the game still would be a 6.5 max anyway, now it’s just shocking, literally too do to horrible frame rate issues this game has on ps3 a superior console to the 360 last time I checked, especially as host it's just stupid.
Here are some of the reasons why this Game Sucks to deliver the high expectations;
Number one on my list is the automatic guns; way too easy to use. Frustrating to vs. How do you beat a pre-adsing camper now? Flanking is the only thing you can do, you can literally never beat them head on, since these lasers beat you every time as they take no skill to handle and kill instantly, unless the dude was really that bad while you were just that quick or he had lag issues.
The guns are No fun to Master. No recoil is game ruining when nearly all the autos have good fire rates and a bit of extra damage (snipers, type95 and shotguns have SP even build in, shotguns as an attachment mind you). Why is kick even an option on Ars and smgs? it’s completely unfair and ruins the skill part of the game. A smg should have some actual recoil that’s the tried off for it being so good cqb up to mid range potentially. Now using smgs with rf & kick > rf beam cqb up to mid range, at least there is a tried off between range and kick for smgs. Ars should have to burst fire to be “l33t” mid to long range, now they are all easy to handle "lasers" with kick all over the field, using a sniper is just to look fancy or “qsing,” no real reason to use one above the mk14 for long range kills, especially on these maps.
Autos are way too easy to use. Kick should only be available on LMGs and even then the Acr aka noob cannon of the game needs to get more recoil, by actually getting some. Automatic guns need some recoil not next to any at all with kick on. Scar has little recoil without kick on even, fair enough as it does the least amount of damage per bullet, but the acr is a piss take even without Kick (less recoil than the scar overall) it’s a laser yet it does 45 per shot and 30 on range? Officially the noob cannon of the game. This is Catering to new players to the fullest, making the game less fun overall and more frustrating.
Maps; some good maps but the more “open” big maps favor window whoring and corner camping way, way too much. Maps were better, more diverse in mw2 and better in blops too imo overall. They also look "dull" overall.
Graphics; mw3 aka new advanced map pack for mw2. They had nearly 2 years and it’s the same game. Waw compared to black ops are two different beasts. Yes, 3arch worked on different timelines but even then it’s a joke compared to mw3 / mw2. Slack much?
The knife lunge: the knife shouldn’t have a knife lunge at all, this is beyond annoying. No commando perk, indeed we build it in & the perk part is changed into being an added proficiency if you like but really no need it's build in, it’s still in the game. It’s still beyond unfair and complete nonsense. Why did you move away from the cod4 knifing system? A shooter should be about gun skill, not free ohk knife / panic lunges, knifing should be about stealth, not free kills..
Point streak system is brilliant but stolen from homefront basically. The new point streak systems & per class option is great (was in homefront too I think mind you). These two are the best additions to the game. Support streaks promote an active playing style and point streaks promote playing the objective.
Theater mode; is simply shi-t in this game.
All in all
3arch > IW & all the shi-t studios IW needs to make an epic fail of a game.
Blops without SC pro > Beast of a game. Too bad that they have that perk and thus ruined a brilliant game. Oh and the Famas, the only gun that needs next to zero skill to handle while having smg fire rate ratings, superb accuracy and good damage with yes AR range. It basically was easier to use while killing 25 % faster than the other auto ars (bar the aug but that gun at least has some recoil), yeajh balance.
I don't understand if it's in the game it's ment to be used.
