How To Change Your NAT type to OPEN on PC (MW3)
Hey guys here is the tutorial i made.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khjLaetX-1g
its really easy to follow make sure you have annontions on and watching in fullscreen and HD.
Tell Me if it works
make a tut for comodo firewall.:)
omg, thank you finally, someone who figured it out!!!
ur welcome
Hello,
I did what you say, but my NAT is still on 'Strict' What else can I do?
Vulles
what fw are you using?
The same as in that video.
Same here already tried that fix game listed to pass firewall but still nt strict the odd thing is for 2 days last week it was open without doing a thing then bang back to strict.
thats the basic windows fire wall, but if u use nod32 then u need to add a rule to that too. u can do it with turning the nod fw to interactive mode then start mw and in the nod pop-up allow the connections then switch ur fw back to active mode with exceptions and see the magic.
it worked for me at least.
bummp!
Don't use nod32 with regards to windows firewall all MW3 Rules are green and ticked I even created a new in and outbound rule in the firewall settings to try and open up the nat but it still remains on strict.
From another thread ref Nat Strict tried this and it works for me
. Before you start game in Steam insert disc 1 and then start up game via Steam = Nat Open stayed open as long as you leave disc in comp while playing.
Didn't work for me. Still got moderate NAT.
No sorry. It didn't work for me.
More tips?
Port Forward
For me it gets even weirder XD
My router/modem only gives me NAT Type on only one IP address. Any address 1 higher or lower gives me moderate and anything other outside that range is strict. Thank god my brother didn't decide to get mw3 too or I'd be stuck with strict while he gets open.
My Nat stayed open for a while but after last patch that came out in December Nat back to strict. I have had a long coversation with B.T. About the home hub 2 it appears the fault is a common one with this Modem and the Nat stays strict. Now I have give up the next thing for me is to take a Big Hammer to my Modem see if that works.![]()
