    Maybe I'll have to make one for MW3 too. But tbqh they aren't the same issues for me. Instead of dying behind corners, I die as soon as I turn a corner facing an opponent. Instead of having my hitbox behind where it should be as in BlackOps, it is in front of where it should be. This makes it seem like everyone I play against has superhuman reflexes. I'd take MW3's crap over BlackOps, but there are more campers in MW3 sadly enough. This style of lag compensation makes it easier for someone who isn't moving to win. And do they really need it any easier?

    I pull host a lot and when I do the game is unplayable.  People turn corners and kill me within a tenth of a second and in the killcam they turn the corner, see me, aim at me, and fire over the course of a few seconds to kill me.  I feel helpless when it's like that and I won't put up with it for much longer.  It's even worse because I often play with friends who live close to me so when any of us get host we all have to suffer for it.

    COD 4: 30 Days played

    WaW: 27 Days played

    MW2: 31 Days played

    Lag Ops: 5 Days played

    MW3: 1 day played

     

    I quit Lag Ops after 5 days and it looks I'm going to quit MW3 even sooner so sad.

     

    COD is now dead to me because it looks like this over done Lag Compensation is going to be added to all future titles.

    Add me to the list.  This has been a problem for me ever since I switched to Xbox and has affected me on MW2 and Black Ops but things have just gotten a whole lot worse with MW3.  The Lag Compensation in this game is a joke!!!

     

    I can fully understand the need to create game that enables people with a lesser connection to compete but giving them a massive advantage NO!!!

     

    The matchmaking system tries to match people with similar pings, so why do we even need Lag Compensation anyway.  The big problem with lag compensation is that people can deliberately nerf their network connection to gain an advantage... and don't even get me started on the lag switches.

     

    Lag compensation use interpolation, extrapolation and rewind mechanics to try and make the game fair, from who shot first scenario but what about the problem where I didn't even see the other guy come around the corner because his upstream is so slow I didn't get the message yet.  Lag  Compensation fails because whatever advantage I might get from having a fast connection is lost to the fact the I always get a delay in seeing the guy with the slow connection.  In fact most internet connections are asymmetric and the upstream is far slower than the downstream, so in fact even without lag compensation, it could be argued that from a who saw whom first perspective, the person with the slower connection has the advantage.

     

    Simply put, lag compensation can never make an FPS fair, so they need to just take it out, turn it down or limit its effects.  If they don't they might just find no-one left playing the game who has a decent connection, which would mean you would only get fools with their Sprint 3G connection hosting games.

    Couldn't agree more. Take it out. I don't mind seeing the odd person warping around. You know he's a lagger, and he knows it too. Problem? Leave the lobby. It's not like we're fighting for games here, there's a million people online. I could see them trying to put in lag compensation if the population drops to 10k or less. If they leave it in, it just might.

    Mw2 Netcode was perfect.
