Pro Perk Challenges: Hope there not like MW2

It may be just me, but MW2 Pro Perk challenges were so easy, at least Blops made it more difficult thankfully, and also balanced the challenges to get them.
Example: MW2: SitRet Pro: Destroy 120 enemy devices.
Not exactly the easiest challenge for what you get.
Blops: 3 challeneges, linked directly to the perk, and what the pro perk will do for you.
So, Im asking you's, do you prefer the easier, 1 challenge MW2 style, or Blops?
Cos lets face it, IW have a knack for not taking good ideas from TreyArch and keeping their crap ideas like the pro perk challenges in MW2.
From what I've seen they are like MW2. But not too sure
dang..I only ask cos Im guessin, cos its IW, that Assassin Pro will be like kill 50 enemies with UAV up or some bull.

Only 20
i prefer iw's method of getting pro perks unlike the crap you had to do in black ops
Funny, I've noticed that IW will create an innovation to their game, and Treyarch pretty much Ctrl+C Ctrl+V.
They should have stuck to WaW style.
On a note, the single progressive challenge of MW2 will probably fit the fast paced style that MW3 is meant to be.
Sitrep Pro was about the only perk that was hard to Pro in MW2.
sitrep pro was easy to get just look for the oma d/c close campers and stick a rpg through the door or widow of where they are hiding lol
I guess I should point out that I played FFA mostly. There were the occasional Claymore user but you would come across them less often and its harder to stop and defuse a claymore when no one is watching your back.
Not saying it was hard, just the hardest for me in the game. Though Maybe Last Stand Pro was hard, never used the perk so not sure.
its the only pro perk i havent got in mw2 i couldnt bring myself to use it
Lol why even call them challenges if people are too lazy to go out and earn them. God MW is so easy mode it's not even funny. How dare a game try to challenge you, at all.
MW2+3 = point and shoot, nothing more.
Confused since you replied to my comment and yet I never stated that they shouldn't challenge the player. More so pointed out that they didnt.
I prefer the Black Ops way just because your learning the perk and its advantages/disadvantages. Though a few were tough, but hell, wheres the fun in getting a perk that you don't really have to work for. ![]()
its a game so getting perks should be fun not a pain in the arse like some of them were in black ops
I agree they they shouldnt be a pain in the arse, but there is no harm in a challenge.
i dont mind a challenge but take flak jacket pro when you had to throw back so many grenades i was suck on the last one for weeks before i finally got it because of everyone either cooking them or using semtex
I hated how Black Ops forced you to play certain gamemodes to unlock some of the pro perks...
I didn't bother unlocking most of them again after I prestiged a few times
Oh god, I completely agree and was just about to say this. Yes, I want marathon pro, no I do not want to play Capture the Flag and on top of that, no I do not want to be an objective player and capture flags, thereby crapping on my kill death ratio.
Ninja pro? I don't play search and destroy, sabotage, or demolition -- and if I did, I wouldn't be the idiot risking his neck to plant the bomb.
Fortunately, I only prestiged once and never used ninja. I only had to capture the stupid flag 2x10 times.
They are like mw2.
You seriously couldn't bring yourself to plant 10 bombs with a Flak Jacket / Ninja class just to finish the perk? Really. Are you that worried about your precious K/D? You could play a match of Demolition and get maybe 1 or 2 plants in a match and still get a ton of kills and have a decent K/D. I've gotten 6 plants in a match and finished with about a 3.0 to 4.0 K/D. If I had to wager a guess, you're probably one of those jackwagons who signs off the PSN or XBL if you have a bad match just to keep your K/D from going down. Arent' you?
I agree, he sounded like a huge douche bag. Arent we grateful that in objective games, his K/D will all be by gun. Probably wont get much unless he plays TMD.
I play demolition but i dont care about my kill/death I want to have fun
I liked BO idea on it HOWEVER i hated that they made me play a game i didn't like (I.E. CTF for marathon)
Oh, believe me, I understand completely. But here's the thing. I think that was done on purpose.
When I first started playing, I only played TDM. Now, I love playing Demo, Dom, HQ and even CTF is starting to grow on me. Don't much care for S&D only because it's so slow paced.
I think they made some of those perk challenges require the player to play other game modes so they could get the most enjoyment out of the game. Force yourself to play some of the other Objective Game Modes and actually work with the team and try to accomplish the objective. Choke back your desire to kill whore and be a team player. I can almost promise you, you won't regret it.
I use to only play TDM, now i always play CTF and got my friends into it and we made a CTF clan we like it that much
B/O got in me into other games mode which im greatful for. CTF is great!
I somewhat agree, however I found team based games were actually more fun when it was the MW1/WaW set up and I have shifted more towards FFA and TDMs.
Though I can't say that getting the pro perks required you to play as a team to accomplish them but I do agree that it was probably implemented in order to get people to explore other game types.
I don't really play TDM to often anymore, my favorite game mode is Dom. I have never liked CTF and i actually only got marathon pro through a friend doing it for me, i don't mind the bomb gamemodes as long as i can get a team of at least 3 people with me. But i do see where you are coming from as far as it expanding what you play.
Sorry for the late reply it was like 3/4 am when i typed it.
doesn't matter how "hard" it is, eventually you unlock all of them. Black Ops pro perk challanges wasn't harder, they were more time consuming,
but the worst thing about Black Ops perks is that what the pro version added was usually better than the core perk itself.
I prefer the cod4 style.
not because I don't like the challanges, but because I think one perk should do one thing.
I'd rather have ten different perks per slot, than 5 that does 2 to 4 different things.
I think I get what you're saying but also have to disagree with part of it.
"Pro Perk Challenges were more time consuming"
Agreed. Some of them just came with time like finishing SoH. Some you have to make it a point to go out of your way to finish, like FJ or Marathon. But, yeah, if you play the necessary game modes and actually did what was required you would eventually get them. But, that was what made them more "fun" than previous CoD titles. It was the whole having to do more than one thing instead of it just being automatic like in the previous games.
"What the pro version added was usually better than the core perk itself"
Isn't that the point of working on getting the Pro perks in all the games?
"Having a 5 perks that do 2 to 4 different things"
Disagree. None of the perks in BlackOps give you that much. Nearly all of them build totally on what the original perk did. There were a couple exceptions, but those also go along with the challenges required to complete the perk or if they "built" onto the original perk it wouldn't make much sense.
Could you imagine Lightweight Pro giving the player the ability to run at 30mph? Or Flak Jacket Pro making them completely immune to explosives? Hacker Pro would do what, make you even better at detecting enemy equipment? As if being able to walk up to a wall and look into it and see everything on the map wasn't quite good enough.
Not trying to bash on your comment. Obviously we get two completely different things from the game. I like a bigger variety of challenges and specific tasks, whereas you like just shooting people in the face. To each their own huh?
I just hope sit-rep pro isn't destroying 120 devices again. ![]()
Update:
It looks like it is back to old MW2 method.
I.E: Quickdraw Pro: Get X Amount of Kills within 5 seconds of ADS, lets hope that its a decent amount of kills, like 300 or something.
Remember hoe easy it was to get SoH Pro in MW2, get 120 kills while using SoH, piece of piss.
I think they should do the MW2 style but just make them a little harder. SOH pro on MW2 is an example of a perk that's too easy to get. 120 kills while ADS? I usually had it pro by level 10. Maybe like 300 kills. I just don't like how BO made me play other game modes. Granted I know they had the intentions of helping you find other gamemodes you might like, but I'm so bad at CTF so I never got Marathon pro.
I'd rather have hard challenges that I could complete on any gamemode over MW2/BO style.
@death_magnetica
Yup. Same old crap. It's just the "set it and forget it" method. You shouldn't have 3 Pro Perks by level 15. I'm sorry. That's just B.S. At least not without having to go out of your way to get them. But to just set the perks and play normally and automatically get them Pro without any extra effort, that's just crap.
Have to say I'm quite disappointed with the game when it comes to the challenges aspect.
lol u mad that people can get pros by lvl15 lol **** i had three pros once on balck ops when i was lvl 12 most pro challanges where not hard so why change it now
Some of those pro perks in BlackOps were a little more difficult to get than others. I'm not upset that you can get them pro so early in the game...well....actually I am. I thought it would be more of a challenge.
I think it just sucks that all you have to do is set them on a class, use the class and don't do anything special other than run around and get kills to get them pro.
Like I said to someone in one of the earlier posts though. To each their own. I like some variety in the challenges and you just like to shoot people in the face. Neither of us is wrong. It's just different personal preferances.
