How do you guys feel about the Maps on Mw3 that we seen so far? I have to say they is REALLY detailed more than Bf3 for 360. Im feeling its more detailed then Mw2 maybe better graphics? My god I wanted to play just by watching the 4 hours.
-Survival seems boring to me zombies seemed boring but I never played it so I guess Ill give survival a try-
Also lets talk about the structure because map structure means alot in FPS especially for COD titles.
The Danger Spots dont seem to be as big and when you run and gun on Black Ops and Mw2 it feels unsafe. Mw3 seems to have made every map tight but at the same time make alot of underground routes(Maps Favor Objective type gameplay I find it useful and im a TDM player.)
What you guys think about the maps?
Do you think Mw3 will be a success??
I want it to be like MW2 .. yanno like how the glitches and hiding spots for ppl to have fun with .. but not for people to camp there and stuff .. like the top of the roof on highrise, that was kind of hard to get too and more risky when playing GroundWar.. Treyarch never added tht kind of stuff in there maps. And besides i hate their games too just saying lol. and the maps look great .. by looking at them ik the DLCs are also going to be great.... Also Seatown, i thought it was going to be like a flooded town or something with alot blue to it butguess not lol.. but still looks good (:
i must admit i got bored watching the spec ops survival part of the live feed but the multiplayer bits look amazing
Gonna rock this .M.W. 3 is "STYLIN".
After watching the live feed I'm slightly concerned at how many twists and turns there are. At times it looked as though people were running through a maze, so there wasn't a lot of open area like most of the maps on MW2. I just seems to me like there are going to be a lot of people camping around corners. At the same time though it seemed like there were very few places people could generally camp, much unlike MW2. It's hard to judge without actually playing it, so once I get in and on the maps I won't really know how they play. Overall I like the design though.
i noticed a few places on the map hard hat that you just know you will find a camper or two
I was somewhat disappointed. There were no real distiguished choke points and it didn't show much high ground. I am/was hoping IW would create the maps to be strategically thought out and not just say "hey, lets put a car here, or hey, lets put a dumpster here". Then again I haven't played it yet sooo..
I saw several choke points and some were even being used. *shrug*
As for verticality, they did mention they're putting less emphasis on that due to wanting more gun on gun gameplay and less camping, etc.
Putting a "car here or dumpster here" is still good, though. Having more for cover than just running behind a wall is necessary to keep things flowing and keep it fun.
I cant judge any of the maps I've seen until I play them. The fact that they have 16 NEW maps on release means I'm going to like more than a few. I'm excited and cant wait to try them all out.
And yeah Spec Ops looks kind of boring.
does anyone have a link so I can watch it. is it on youtube?
IGN's Website
Haven't finished watching it yet, I'm about 42 minutes in.
The map I saw didn't look like it offered too much cover, but then again I haven't explored the map fully yet so who knows.
Going to watch it tomorrow I think but how many maps do they show?
yes, recently maps get leaked. I know 16 of them. they include: Downturn, Bakaara, etc. You can have a look at: thecallofdutymodernwarfare3.com
