402 confirms day one use of prestige tokens

Just a heads up to people; 402 has confirmed that those of us who have prestige tokens through previous games will be able to use them DAY ONE. know what that means for me lol : 3 extra custom classes, and the ACR unlocked at level one!

Heres the proof some will undoubtedly ask for:

@evlmnke11 It's accessible anytime as long as you have Prestige Tokens to use in it. So if you have 4 tokens on day 1, you can use them.

@charlieINTEL @evlmnke11Prestige Mode (the ability to prestige) is unlocked at 80, but if you have tokens already. The stores open.

      It is a default class though, that doesn't mean it isn't unlocked from the start, just a pre defined version of it is (noob tube and RDS)

        I thought that was what you meant, yes you will, but i will most likely not use any other version of it. If MW3 is like MW2 and keeps your default classes as well as your custom, then I will have no use for another version of the g36c lol

        the g36c default class looks ok but id rather unlock it with a token to make my own classes

Kinda what i assumed already, what would be the point of awarding tokens if you couldn't use them.

  Most were lead to believe (including myself) that you could only use them once the shop itself was unlocked at 1st prestige.

Does this mean I can be level 80 no prestige and still have 3 extra custom classes? If so, I'm set. 8 classes is enough for me. Please reply back.

      can you only use one token on it or could you use 5 and unlock 5 bits of equipment

        No idea, if it is just one time, then I may wait until I prestige the first time to choose which piece to keep, now that you mention it i don't really fancy taking a shot in the dark on whether a gun i like the look of will be good to use lol

i kinda thought the shop would be available from the get go, and now im glad to see its been confirmed
i just made a new account for mw3 though, so i gotta hurry up & finish this first prestige on black ops so i can AT LEAST have one token (better than nothing lol)

its just sad that some ppl are going to spend their tokens to unlock things that are unlocked early on ...but heyy, thats their call not mine.

i might use it to get a high level perk or weapon. i'll probably have to choose between dead silence/scavenger/acr/msr/ak47 ...we'll see

  exactly, haha ...this whole prestige shop is gonna be interesting.
  
  if you think about it, in games like CoD, there isnt a huge amount of variety as far as weapon/perk selection early on in the game.
  
  but w/ the new unlock gear option there will be ppl running all different types of weapons, and that'll make it alot more fun from the start. especially since you can pick up weapons anyway, there will be all types of weapons to come across & use throughout the course of a match.

Here is confirmation also of being able to unlock perks; not the pro versions though, only the basic ones:

@TACOS_4_U Cant carry over a pro perk. Only the standard version. You'd still need to get Pro again on it.
