Topic has been removed due to a person logically convincing me it was merely i coincidence i thought of the idea.
Ipokeureyes made a valid point at bottom of discussion:
"to all those calling bs....check the date he claims to have sent it....may 26th of this year.....6 months before release....They wouldnt of had time to discuss the idea raised in the e-mail at a senior level....and then discuss with the designers/programmers how to correctly implement it into the game...and then figure out the exact level/speed of gaining proficiency....and then design the actual interface for it...and then write it into the game programme....and then test it all out to see if it works...and then fix any issues...and then test it again....they wouldnt of had time to get it done as a surprise for release...never mind in time for a trailer...of call of duty XP
Never mind the fact that with 6 months left until release.....no lets make that 4 months for the XP event....they wouyld of all been working their *** of to get it ready in time anyway...never mind throwing in a new concept to be included in the game months before it needs to be ready"
You are right. It was just a cool thing i thought of it back then and at the same time they were probalt in the midst of finishing up the details on it. It makes me all the more wanting to buy it!
You sir have won. ![]()
A HUNGRY mountain lion came out of the hills, attacked a bull and killed it. As it feasted on its kill, the lion paused from time to time to roar in triumph. A hunter in the area heard the commotion, found the lion and shot him dead.
The moral of the story is: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.
yea i know i would get people saying i didnt send the e-mail but the only way i could prove it would be to give u my e-mail password so you could see for yourself, but im not going to do that.
a baby bull and a father bull where on top of the hill over looking a pasture full of female cows grazing.
the baby bull says dad, "lets run down the hill and f-ck one of the cows."
and the pappa bull replies "no, son. lets walk down the hill, and f-ck them all."
regardless why would i make this long drawn out paragraph for no reason. obviusly it isn't a exact replication of what it turned out to be.. but it is definitely an idea starter. if i had no life and wanted to post that wouldnt i take exact details?
ADHD
hahah it is exactly what happened the email doesnt even look legit dude. come on really.
corrected , i could of photo shopped one saying about the game needs gun on gun action and made its looked more legit in the space of 30sec
... ur saying my photo is photo shopped. do u want me to make a damn video??? all i am trying to say with this discussion is it is cool how one COD fan along with any others that had this idea might have had an impact on it coming in the game.
Yeah, and I emailed Robert Bowling the idea for the Prestige Shop.
This troll just wants attention. Don't give it to him.
heres my photo of my e-mail... http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc467/pipebombman/Screenshot2011-10-30at7003 1PM.png
<---- not a troll
Obviously you photo shopped that after everyone called bullshit on you... otherwise you would have included it in the OP.
sorry.. didn't think i woud have a **** ton of people instantly claiming it was fake. unlike aparantly everyone on this forum i have a certain amount of trust what someone says... if u look at the picture u can see i googled how to even take a screen shot. i dont even know how the hell to photo shop.

Here's a quote from your earlier post.
i know i would get people saying i didnt send the e-mail
Just quit while you're ahead, little buddy.
you all are hopeless, whatever. if 402 remembers this e-mail and happens to see this than cool. if not whatever not gonna ruin my day.
I believe you man. Maybe some of your suggestions did make it to the developers. Something you could possibly be proud of. ![]()
there is hope for humanity yet.. thanks man. yea thats all it is, just thinking it was cool i might have gotten some info relayed to some devs.
The explosive tagging feature is a dervitive of an idea i posted in the BO forum ![]()
guys lay off the op Its quite possible he did email the stealth clown, course all of this is moot as the idea isnt new, and as usual the (in name only) iw has used an idea from another video game. nice reply though by the stealth clown wasnt it ..oh wait..
Yes op your/their idea is old hat been done loads of times in video games i guessing you thought it up while playing baldurs gate maybe? Although i would hazard a guess and say prolly from a counter strike mod as alot of the old iw staff (not sure who's left) are ex counter strike modders and map makers.
thank you again for posting an intelligent post. Yea im sure it was tossed around before but really at the time it kinda just hit me because i was thinking of the famas and how to raise other guns up to its level instead of just nerfing. it gives all the guns an opportunity to exceed, but you have to work for it if you want it. its kind of like a real life way of doing things. if you want to become more proficient with a weapon in real life you become familiar with it and sway ads and accuracy will all increase. i kind of thought of this idea really because of how much i have used guns in my life.
the fact that this surfaced this late is a big indication that this is fake.
you should have posted that email on the forum and told everyone your idea and then sent it to bowling, then maybe people would have believed you.
what. this makes no sense. these mw3 forums just came up several weeks ago. i sent the e-mail months ago. i didn't need the acceptance from others to send in my idea. i don't see what the fascination with trying to claim something is fake. it's not fake.. at all.
Cool story bro.
you must be 12.
You guessed it. Because I'm not impressed about a seemingly coincidental prediction, I am obviously 12 years old.
If you feel that your suggestions were implemented into MW3, then congratulations. On a completely separate note, you have way too many unread messages in your inbox. ![]()
FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
his email is not rbowling@infinityward.com
its
robert.bowling@fourzerotwo.com
and you email is little too accurate
How ignorant can you be thinking it is all your brilliant idea? These were all ideas that have been talked about for a long time.
I take that back you are right. Thank you for shining this brilliant light on the game designers who are resposible for producing multibillion dollar games.
@ mircro8589 The rbowling@infinityward.com was an e-mail that was designed for feedback that i saw he posted on his twitter account.
@avengedyesterday Never did i once claim it was soley my idea, quite opposite i stated earlier that i knew it had been tossed around before. Where it hasn't been introduced was in COD. I like COD so much because of the portrayal of many different guns, and since i am a very big gun enthusiest in real life i was trying to add input as to how the new COD game might have some realism in it. This idea came to me after thinking about how gun proficiency really is a big factor into being able to fully optimize a gun. The navy seals train specifically to master all guns known to current warfare and even many generations previous warfare.
Yes the devs. at IW and sledgehammer are very creative, but even they themselves admit without fan feedback and input there would be no COD series.
Well it could be true. I know last year when Black Ops was being developed, people had map ideas that they posted on threads. One was a rocket taking off in the middle of the game, look what happened. I'm also pretty sure that guy got recognized by Treyarch, but I mean a ROCKET taking off in the middle of a multiplayer match, you'd think that's impossible, but Treyarch shows otherwise.
yea im not trying to get my name put into the game as a developer or anything. I just wanted to share my idea how real life aspects can be subtely added to an otherwise fantasy shooter. a little shotout from 402 would be more than enough to make this seemingly endless response to haters worth it.

You bumped this stupid thread because?
was just responding to something someone wrote
14 hours after he posted.
ok pipebimbman well if this was truely your idea then you should just be happy that you came up with it, not going and trying to boast about it because no one is going to take you seriously. Sorry thats just the way it is, just be happy for yourself without seeking others reckongnition. And don't fire back at me saying you aren't seeking others recognition because if you weren't then you never would have posted this. Also about that whole forums just came up thing, you could have posted this immediatley to see what people thought of it but no you decided to wait until a weapon proficiency video came out (mmmmm thats strange).

good point. you made me take down the discussion. It was just coincidental i thought of it at about the same time they were wrapping it up. Still it was fun to see them say weapon proficiency on multiplayer reveal ha.
This truly shows the ignorance and stupidity that some of the users here show. Seriously, is everything photoshopped?
On topic, I do believe your story and it is great that they took your idea into consideration. Hopefully, your idea is another great addition and not some gimmick.

Some of us are just dumbfounded by the fact that he decided to post this AFTER the trailer. If his story is true don't you think he would have posted this before the trailer?
How would he have known that weapon proficiency was in it then??
Check out the date on this thread...

This guy mentioned that the MOAB would be cool (on July 1) and they even discussed it NOT being a game ending streak.
Not saying the OP didn't send the email but it was on other people's mind as well (oddly enough).
