In the configure internet sharing step... an error message appears when i try to allow other network users to connect through..bla bla bla..the error says: "an error ocurred while internet connection sharing was being enabled"... what do i need to do??
btw..im using W. Vista
What was the rest of the error message (if anything)?
A quick google on just what you gave turns up IP address conflicts and firewall issues.
Internet Connection Sharing will use the IP 192.168.0.1 for the wired network port of your PC. Do you have a static IP set on that network card (Local Area Connection)? If so, you may need to set it to get it's IP and DNS automatically.
Is your router using 192.168.0.1? While I'm sure you can probably work around this if that is its IP, its probably easier to just change it to 192.168.1.1. If you don't want to change it then I'd need to know what IP addresses your PC is using. You can find this out by clicking Start > Type "cmd" then press Enter. In the black command prompt window that pops up, type "ipconfig /all". Post your results here or PM them to me on http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/
As for your firewall, are you using something other than Windows Firewall? (ZoneAlarm, COMODO, OneCare, etc). Try disabling it if its currently enabled, or enabling it if its currently disabled.
Thats about all I can suggest without knowing more about your particular situation. Get me some more info and I'll help you get set up correctly.- Report Abuse

nice video tutorial

I'm not so sure he understands the settings that he's configuring. They are working for him but I predict that a number of people that watch his video will experience a few issues.
The main issue is that I'm not sure where he got that port range for forwarding but you really only need to forward 30000. XLink Kai will run on the port that is configured in 'Configure Kai'. You can even see in the video that XLink Kai is running on port 30000 when he switches to Diagnostics Mode at 5:13 in the video. Look at the 2nd Diag box where it says Public Port...
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that he probably has that laptop setup in the DMZ on his router since he's still able to connect and have "Network Reachable: Yes" without having port 30000 forwarded.- Report Abuse

Currently Being ModeratedRe: Play online now (not thru PSN)Took me all night to set it up, only a few lobbies showing and Lost Connection to Host every time. Haven't managed a single game.
Might work for others - didn't work for me.- Report Abuse
