I can't connect to the mp servers. Am I banned?

As of now, I know no reason why I should of been banned. I have thoroughly read the policy
and have not broke or misused any of the rules or regulations that have been posted there. How
do I find out how to fix this, or what is really going on?

    Look at your other post. You probably aren't banned, you're just having trouble connecting to the servers. Unless you hacked or cheated (on any game, not just Black Ops) then they wouldn't have banned you. Cutpurse has said many, many times that the ONLY way you get perma banned is if they find hacked software on your system or use of a lag switch

    What does it say exactly when you try and get online? Can you sign in on the XMB and then just not connect to the Black Ops servers? Whats your PSN?

    If you're banned you would get a pop message telling you so. If you haven't had that then it's just connection issues.

    I can get on to the multiplayers just not able connect to the black ops server.

    and I do not get a message saying I am banned. it says. Blacks ops server is not available at this time try back later or go to callofduty.com/blackops/status ....

    I do not watch porn. thank you though.

    Geezus!! Can you get online at all? If you want help, you gotta help us out with whats going on. Can you sign in to the Playstation Network? Where are you located?

    I unplugged my router and waited 30 seconds to reset it, and it is still have the same issues.

    I would recommend setting up port forwarding between your Playstation 3 and your router.
    You must set a static IP address on your console.

    TCP: 80, 81,443, 3074, 5223 
    UDP: 81, 3074, 3075, 3478

    I can get online. I am able to sign into the playstation network. I am located in USA, west coast.

    Didnt say that msg popped up earlier.. Just turn it off and wait a lil while.. Happens every now and then your not banned tho..And hey everyone watches porn dude no ones judging lol.

    Restarted both my ps3 and my router .. nothing.

    I am able to login to the network, just not black ops.

    It does that from time to time on my system, I shut it down for a bit (20 min.) then it works fine.

    you try portforwarding yet? is your NAT type open?

    just be patient, its happened to me and others before, the servers will connect to you eventually..

    Has it worked at all since you port forwarded? perhaps you did it wrong, theres always a risk when you mess around with router settings

    There are many router configurations you can do, but what i first suggest is turning everything off.

    You will need to unplug every ethernet cable coming into the modem, router, and game system. Make sure all those are powered off and unplugged. Wait for about 5-10 minutes, and plug in all the ethernet cables, then power each one up leading to your game system.

    If you still have an issue, try on the back of your router looking for a small reset button, and hold it in for 5 secs, and release. This usually does the trick for me.

    Okay dude this has happened to me before i thought i got banned for some reason too.
    This is going to sound really retarded but it actually works!

    okay so go into system settings and change the system language to italian. now go onto black ops multiplayer you should be able to get in!!!

    OK NOW DONT PLAY A GAME! now quit game and change language back to english and go back to the game! now itshould work!

    I have done all of that and it is still not working.

    I even took my console to my friends house and it is still not working his works fine there, but mine does not.

    I would think if I got banned I would of got some type of message or email saying anything

    And I have thoroughly gone through the security enforcement policy, and I do not go under any of those.

    Any more help possibly?

    You are not banned. Are you by any chance on old PS3 firmware?
    I recommend you contact customer support and see if they can resolve this for you.
