Actually, this metaphor perfectly explains the situation.

Cops = people sworn in by the majority of citizens designed to stamp out bullshit and keep everything in order
Skaters = 14 year old kids who think they're above the law and have the right to abuse public property and generally be a nuisance to everyone around them, yet somehow think that what they are doing is righteous Even their acts scream "skater-***", doing totally radical Tony Hawk 360's off rooftops loool

What's funny is that these kids will look back on themselves in 5 or 6 years and think "damn, we were such a bunch of whiny c*nt muscles back then". When I was 14, I was an annoying little **** who thought I knew it all, too. It's good to know that some things never change.

I skate and I support quick scoping being taken out.  Cops are d i c ks because they act like bullies and like to make things miserable for people different than them, not all cops of course, but the ones people complain about.  This is for the majority of people, cops you can't get away from, no one is making you play this game.  More or less, this is a terrible comparison.

In truth, you have Cops vs. Skaters vs. Society... or in this case... JD vs. QSers vs. Community.

Let's take your first paragraph... maybe people want to be able walk the streets, stairs, and other things without having to keep one eye out for Joey Skateking about to plow into them. Or maybe the property owner doesn't want to get sued by said Joey when he shatters his pelvis for failing to keep him off the property. So... maybe the community at large doesn't want to deal with QSers wrecking their time and exploiting the game in way it wasn't intended.
