You think Inglorious Basterds is racist when theres movies like Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, which portrays killing of Germans in those as well, how is this any different?

It's just gone in the direction of a Quentin Tarantino flick, and I'm sure it will be good. (If you like Quentin Tarantino movies)

plus, what I mean by 'all the others are racist' is that the main objective of the war, for the Allies, was to take out Berlin and kill Hitler, so how does any other WWII movie (from the Allied standpoint) differ from this one?

Didn't wanna cause confusion because I know SPR/BoB are more-so based on how close the squads were, how they lived together, got through things, and combat as well. But the main objective is still relative.

should see Paschendale... a Canadian  kills a little kid Natzi with a bayo though the head. but it also shows a scene where the natzis  cease fire to allows one of the dying solders to carry back one guy from their trench. also love the scene where they shoot though some guy and actually put their hand though the bullet hole.

did u know that durring Christmas  there was a ceasefire and  ally troops and natzis celebrated a Christmas together (i think  it was the first one, but they didn't do that for the rest) soldiers said that most of the natzis were really nice ..... musta sucked to start shooting em again XD

No it's not, you can't take Quentin Tarantino that seriously, what movie has he made ever that isn't a bloody killing fest? This time they just took it to Hitler, and the Nazi's. Not all soldiers were Nazi's like previously stated.

If you're grandparents were in the Wehrmacht, it's a completely different thing from the being a Nazi. Like mentioned before Nazi's were SS soldiers, where as Wehrmacht were just a regular old soldier like a Infantryman/Tanker/etc.

    And yeah, I've seen Passchendael it's a good movie but that's WW1.

I don't think the soldiers celebrated Christmas together, but I do know there was a ceasefire.

And I hate it when the moment I say "French", "France", and/or "World War II" in the same sentence, people have to go on about how France contributed nothing to the war (French Resistance) and didn't fight at all after it surrendered (Free French Forces).

Whenever I say that my family has been in both the Resistance and Free Forces when I live in the US or playing online people snicker and make retarded French military jokes.

But see, not every German was a Nazi, and not every Nazi was German.

only happend once, i think it was ww1 too. and yes i know that wmovie was WW1 but still shows the point :P... even if they were not really natzis .... they were just germans back then. but it still is pretty much the same point now isn't it.

yeah i know, but its still if i say, yeah i have german ancestors in WWII people instantly call me a nazi and ask if i am disappointed and stuff like that

    Same deal here.

"So I have family who was in the French Resistance"

"OMG did they surrender to the Germans?"

"[insert retarded French military joke here]"

Typical reaction in an online game.
