I completely agree with you. I hate COD4 RDS, they were ugly. I got MW2 in 2011, I've had COD4 for about 1 1/2 years now and MW2 for awhile, about half a year, and I never played COD4 ever since I got MW2, and it was all because the guns, sights, and killstreaks were better. It was a huge step forward, so I'm thinking MW3 will beat Battlefield in performance, but not in graphics. Oh wow, I went from talking about RDS to Performance...

Yes... you will have the option to customize the sight... I've seen it in clips and via commentaries... It is not as extensive as Black Ops and is a part of the Weapon Leveling System.

I would have to agree with you. This is the exact same question I had: Can we pick the MW2 style RDS instead of the CoD4 style, because I dislike the CoD4 style RDS. I think I will use the Holographic Sight (If I use a sight which I usually don't) if I can't use the MW2 style RDS.

I love MW2's red dot sights to be honest. I find for weapons of precision such as ACR and M16, they are out ******* standing. However, I did like what Black Ops did with them. ALl I want is to change  red dot color and lens. I don't care about designs IMO. However, I would prefer CoD 4 Red Dot over that ugly piece of crap Reflex sight.

i prefer the iron sights but if i had to pick id go for the mw2 one

I am fine with either RDS, but from a pure cosmetic standpoint I like the MW2 RDS more.

Yes, custom reticles are confrimed for MW3.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was worried about this. NAY. I prefer the MW2 RDS & was wondering the same thing you were. I've seen all the trailers with the different red dot sights & am hoping that we get to pick.

No you don't get the choice but I like them both just like they put them in the game SMG's have the MW2 sights that are compact and on the AR's the rugged mean looking sight from COD 4 but in the end im Holographic Sight!!!

So the Red dot sights in the original gameplay that was advertised isn't in the game now? I think there should be an update. I as well as others, prefere that sight. Call of Duty is about options.
