Currently Being ModeratedWill MW3 have the same LAG / Hit detection problems that Blackops 'never' had?
Wow this issue is being discussed already, cool!!
Vahn has already (quietly) admitted there is something wrong with Black Ops, and that he can't fix it because it cannot be recreated by Treyarch. Is it theatre? Is it Elite? who knows, but my money is on either that or split screeners causing the problems.
And just to clarify - the problems with Black Ops are NOTHING to do with your TV, and most likely NOT to do with your internet. That is FACT

Black Ops has sync issues. No not everyone has it, but it is something noticeable to enough players to be a problem. MW2 is MW2 and Black Ops is Black Ops. Hopefully MW3 won't have too many sync issues as I have with Black Ops which either works or doesn't. =\

Well MW3 will have theater.
Will it have lag compensation?
That's the real question.

Well, at least it can't get any worse.

I certainly hope not. I also wonder if this Elite idea they have will cause lag issues in game. I certainly won't be paying monthly to play the game anyhow, so if the "Elite" vision they have stays, I and most of the people I play with won't be.

Elite pulled info from Black Ops from day 1 so yes I believe Elite and Theatre are a cause but MW3 is being built with Elite intergrated into it so i see it being less of a problem in my opinion

I hope they address the problem. Black Ops hit detection was/is horrible combined with Treyarch's engine that likes you to shoot slightly ahead of a moving target to get a kill. I believe this is unfortunately all the result of theater mode.
MW2's hit detection was near perfect and hopefully they can emulate it in MW3. So far, in my experience playing MW3 at CODXP, they hit detection is just like MW2. But that was most likely because theater was not avaiable at the time.

Of course it will have lag compensation. It would be unplayable without it.

MW3 is free to play, you don't have to pay for it.
