Prototype Freezing

It doesn't matter whats going on...it freezes during cinematics and gameplay (more often). It doesn't freeze if it's in the menu (upgrades, map, etc.) though.

None of my other games ever freeze.

Help? This game ROCKS when it isn't freezing, but it freezes sometimes every 5 minutes.

Also, I tried installing it to my harddrive to see if it worked better.....couldn't even get into the game, said Disk Read Error (from the HD).

    Are we ever going to get some help or advice on these things??? It's obviously happening to more than a couple people...and mine's starting to freeze when I first load the game.

    Installind it to the harddrive usually fixes it??? Could be a bad harddrive does any of your other games do this as well?

    Nothing helps...got a new one...same thing.

    Tried installing it to HDD and won't even let me play it.

    And no, none of my other games do this.

    luckily my game never freezes.  however i took the liberty of installing it to my hard drive before playing the first time.  On that note my game seems to freeze when i have played for 2 hours and i try selecting any two things in the powers menu when it slows game play down for the second time it freezes then glitches and then I have to turn off the game and start it back up and it doesn't happen again until after i turn off the console for awhile then it happens again later on.

    Same thing happened to me. Luckily I installed it on my harddrive and so after the second time it happened I just went with my harddrive version. If I may make a suggestion, rent prototype from wherever and install it. You only need the disk for it to load off your harddrive not for playing.
