Hello all thought I would start a discussion about my new favorite game. Would have thought Hawk would put this one up but since he didn't I am going to do it. Hopefully this will be a place we can discuss the game, friend up with each other to help each other, give advice on hero selection, research, uniforms, what to buy, what not to buy, PVP and more. I love the game and am sure many of you do as well.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Planned release date - April 4, 2014

Well this is a very interesting choice of directors. The Russo Brothers (Joe & Anthony) have been tapped to direct Captain America 2. Their previous film experience includes "You, Me & Dupree".-

It hasn't been finalized or announced officially so things may change, but if not, I'm trusting that Marvel knows what they are doing. They have had some good luck with some of their choices for directors, some of which initially raised some eyebrows (that one guy that made "Elf" for Iron Man, a guy best known for Shakespeare films for Thor, and a guy that had one not very sucessful movie for the Avengers)

CA:TFA was pretty much my favorite "phase 1" movie leading up to The Avengers (sometimes tied with Iron Man) so I have high hopes for the sequel.

The next Avengers cartoon is gonna be shown at SDCC in just a few days so I figure we could use a place to talk about it. There's still not much info about it on either wikipedia or IMDB. Hopefully we'll finally know a little about it other than it's gonna be geared more toward the movies than EMH was.

SHIELD TV series

It looks to be all, but official. We're getting a SHIELD TV show and Whedon is said to write and direct the first episode! I'd love to see Mockingbird appear in the show and she damn well better be a smartass, haha. It would be sweet too to get some Hawkeye development, as its been said movie characters will be making appearances.

Who would you all like to see and happen with this show?

Thor 2 Movie discussion

The God of Thunder is coming back and what's not to be excited about! Thor was a resounding success.

Alan Taylor is set to direct and he is really good. I am sure some of you have seen my compliments regarding his direction of the Game of Thrones TV show on HBO. He has directed some of the best episodes and I have no doubt he will turn out an amazing Thor film.

I am sure some of you have seen that Fandral has been recast due to the actor's committment to the show "Once Upon a Time". So the warriors three plus Sif will change a bit.

GU excited that the Enchantress will be in this film very cool, and very hot, lol.

X-Men: Days of Future Past ....the MOVIE!

so Bryan Singer has announced that the X-Men First Class sequel is being written right now and that it will be a Days of Future Past storyline

which will be a little weird since Kitty and Wolverine are not due to be in the movie

hmmmmmmmmmmm

we'll have to have Rachel Summers and Sentinels but what would the story be without the iconic Kitty/Logan team up?

Game Of Thrones TV show

Well for those of you who love this show please join me in discussing the best show on TV.

What did you think of the first episode? For me a show is great when there is pretty much no action but I still was so enthralled that I was shocked when the show was over, my first reaction was how can it be over it has only been on a few minutes, lol

Loved pretty much every scene, Tyrion and Tywinn's scene was riveting and man talk about a father ripping his son to shreds, ouch. Cersei's and Margery's back and forth was great and there will be a definite push and pull for power.

Dany is my fav and this season her storline is going to be awesome. Loved Barristan's return and for those of you who have read the books I don't see how they could have handled it any other way since it is impossible to hide someobody's identity in a visual medium versus a book so was happy with how it was rolled out and really enjoyed how he offered her his sword.

Of course beind the first episode of the season there was a lot of transition that had to take place but still just loved it.

What do you like/dislike about the new Hero HQ?

The "new" Hero HQ is finally here. I realize that the migration from the old site is not 100% complete but I thought I'd start a feedback thread so the administrators can be aware of what we like and don't like. Here's the start of my list-

Like-

- we can actually post now without the site erasing everything and having to try and post multiple times

- new features (however I haven't tried them much) like private messages

- embedding videos or pictures

- more advanced text editing (although I have to get used to a few controls like "CTRL V" for pasting rather than using the mouse

Dislike-

- The avatars are much smaller (and my nifty unique avatar isn't currently available to me!)

- no quote feature (as far as I can tell)

- easy to get lost in navigation around the site (once I go to my profile, how do I get back to the forums easily?)

I realize some problems may be alleviated once everything gets completely updated but these are just a few observations.

Maybe News Lad could do a tutorial blog that explains some of the changes and new features of the site?

if you liked Nether Realm Studios' MK9 then you will probably like their foray into the superhero market with this DCU fighting game

if you didn't know, it features a cast of more than 20 characters, has huge destructible interactive backgrounds with multiple fighting areas, super moves, super combo breakers, and a super move bar wagering system for stand-off type moves

so far Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Solomon Grundy and Harley Quinn have been revealed

Well I always loved the smell of my mom making cookies while I would suck on a candy cane while watching Rudolph the red nosed reigndeer when I was a little kid. then the next morning Me and my sister would go outside in 2 layers of heavy clothing and play outside in the snow all day with other kids. then we come inside,warm up, drink some hot cocoa, drive in the car with my mom and look at Christmas lights, then sing Christmas Carols with the family ahhh good times.
