I contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding the recent wave of bans which affected innocent COD:BO users.

Here is my complaint in it's entirety. I recommend every one of you out there who are innocent, and affected by this ban do the same as I.

I am a paying customer of XBOX Live and Activision Publishing, and as of Saturday, May 18 I was banned from playing Activision's game Call of Duty: Black Ops (COD:BO) from the COD:BO servers, which allows for those with an XBOX Live account to connect with others for online gameplay utilizing the multiplayer platform of the video game.

Activision clearly states on their website that bans can not be appealed, but what measure is in place if Activision wrongfully bans a customer/customers? I have attempted to contact moderators on their discussion forums. All my posts went unnoticed, and no response was issued. I attempted to call their customer support repeatedly. Their customer support phone line was closed. I contacted @ATVISupport via Twitter, and received a crude response that didn't even answer my initial question that I was seeking an answer for.

My situation is this: Activision has a "Community" tab where fellow gamers can upload and watch each others saved game-plays. A week prior to my my alleged ban I was in the "Community" section of the game and clicked into a video that I downloaded and watched in Theater Mode. Unbeknownst to me, I was clicking into a hacked file that contained a glitch that if used properly enables cheaters to gain XP rapidly and prestige rapidly in the video game. There was no warning on this video. In fact, the video was at the very top of the list and was titled "WTF?!". There was no warning provided. There was no indication that the file was corrupt.

I find it disturbing that Activision doesn't have someone monitoring the "Community" for potentially corrupt files. Secondly, I find it extremely unfair, insulting and absurd for being banned because I was utilizing a feature of the video game that is accessible to any paying customer. Activision issued a blanket ban on ANYONE that accessed these files, whether or not their motives where to watch a video, or utilize the XP Glitch. This potentially affected thousands of wrongfully banned honest customers.

I have yet to purchase another XBOX Live account, and I'm not sure if I'm going to do that. It's not going to kill me to take a break from the game, or not play the game ever again, even though I'll truly miss it.

Hello.

I have a problem with my multiplayer account at PS3 Black Ops. After my one online multiplayer match I've been disconnected from the server (many players were leaving; it was also bugging) and I got -299947174 money. I tried to do something with it so I tried to level up at prestige more (before hack I already had 50lvl) to erase my stats but it only erased my negative amount of money, my bad stats remained the same . Also one my challenge for career points is maxed :/ In PS3 community forum I was instructed to tell about it here so I am doing it. Is there any way to reverse my stats back, to normal?

I come home today and for some reason it says I'm temporarily banned from online. I have no clue why. It says I violated the security and enforcement policy. I'm not a glitcher and i don't have mods or a modded controller. I didn't cheat or boost. Someone please help ASAP.

There is one player on black ops 1 that continues to threaten to hack me, call my phone over 8 time away, text me when ever I enter a game with them saying "get off or I will hack out". Is there any way to avoid them in the game and get them away from me?

I block them and report them, then they make 5 more accounts trying to add me on them and say I'm a whore and other stuff in the game 24/7. I already am working with police but they can't help me with in the game harrasment, seriously I just want to be able to play the game with out worry of someone hacking me or threatening me.

I didn't know where to put this or what to do since I'm new to using a ps3 or black ops.

Rezurrection dl fail; no matching BLES-code

So i purchased the Rezurrection pack from PS Store, and it came with the different BLES coded versions. None of them match mine Mine is BLES- 01717, and the ones i've downloaded are BLES 01031---01032 etc.. isn't this pack available? where can i find the pack with my code?

Ready for deployment trophy impossible to achieve at level 50

Does anyone know if it's possible to achieve the ready for deployment trophy after I reached level 50??

The trophy didn't pop for me just like what happened to a lot of people, then I tried to go to level 50 to see if it pops or if I could prestige and achieve level 10 again but nothing of this worked

Already tried to contact Activision but they were unable to help me in anything

If someone could help me I would really apreciate because this is the last trophy remaining for my platinum.

Extremely weird issues ... help?

I have been playing black ops on ps3 for quite awhile now and never had any problems until now.

When I try to launch the game, the system freezes on a black screen, sometimes for two minutes, sometimes permanently.

The second issue is that when I go into a map, granted the game starts, everything is blue/orange and pixellated.

And also , it sometimes kicks me out of the match, giving me this message on the black ops screen :"Error Trying to read beyond the end of toc for this packfile. Try rebuilding and resyncing your '/english/snd.english.pak' packfile."

This is the only game that gives me issues on my ps3, mw2 and mw3 and other games work perfectly. Also, I have tried this disc in another system, worked perfect. I even completely reformatted my HD, it had no effect.

Ideas? Thanks!

Mouse randomly speeding up

Just recently been having weird mouse issues that only seems to happen in BO (tried in MW2 and nothing\0. It's almost as if my mouse's sensitivity will randomly shoot up and I'll end up doing 180s with only a small movement. Really annoying. Anyone know what might be up?

Whenever I try to load black ops multiplayer it gets to the FETCHING STATS screen and just sits there forever.

When I look at the task manager it says black ops multiplayer is not responding.

What can I do???

Unfortunately, Activision is not able to reset or restore anyone's account in online multiplayer.
We do not have access to anyone's stats or multiplayer rank in the game.

Rank resets usually occur by an interrupted communication between your console, ISP or the server.
If there was a loss of packets or bandwidth at the end of a match or being unexpectedly ejected from the game, the stats can result in a reset or rollback when the stats were uploaded to the server.
When this happens, there is corrupted data on the data file that is transferred to the Master Servers at the end of the match.
In receiving the data, the Stats Servers try to correct the data file by resetting the stats.

The only other reasons to have stats reset is due to illegal activity or boosting in the game.
You can view our Security & Enforcement Policy using the following link: http://community.callofduty.com/thread/100341470

Your original stats and ranks cannot be retreived or restored because the file was overwritten.
If you continue playing, there are instances of rank and other stats retrieved to your account.
If this occurs frequently, please check you network connection and contact your ISP to have your line quality tested.

To prevent this from occurring in the future I recommend opening up your ports and forwarding them to a static IP address:

stats reset

My stats were reset due to circumstances out of my control and I've seen people on here who have gotten their prestige/stats back. I was wondering if I could get help with this. I sent a PM to Cutpurse and I don't know if he actually reads these or not, but I'm pretty sure he reads the support forums so I wanted to post on here. I was forth prestige and I dont see myself playing this game close to as much as I did, if all these weapon prestiges/camos/levels are all lost. Please help me Treyarch/Activision!
