Let's just face it: The way Treyarch balanced this game is nice, tough there are still classes that dominate.

At the very least they don't dominate like they did in BO and MW3 with things like Suppressed ACRs, Rapid fire AKS-74U and MP5K, MP7 Suppresed, Famas w/ dual mags, suppressor, Ghost and Second Chance and L86LSW with thermal, grip, sleight of hand pro, quickdraw pro and the specialist strike pakcage.

well, i'll give you one i started using a while ago, is:

SCAR-H

Stock/Red Dot/silencer (silencer optional)

Ghost/Hardline

Scavenger

Engineer

C4(optional)

EMP(optional)

Perk 1 Greed

Primary gunfighter (optional)

with

UAV

CUAV

VSAT

managed to pull 55-5 groundwar with a 23 killstreak

I think you need to be more specific....for e.g you would be better giving someone tips on a set up for the person who wants to cap objectives in domination something like

My favourite class is as follows:

Primary: R870 w/Long Barrel + Laser Sight

Secondary: Smaw

Lethal: Semtex

Wildcard: Perk 1 Greed

Tier 1 Perks: Lightweight + Hardline

Tier 2: Fast Hands

Tier 3: Dexterity

Awesome fun with that class! I love getting in peoples faces and this class allows me to do just that,

if you really want to help people il give you the advice i give to all my freinds that ask me whats the best class ?

what class do you run ?

can you sugest a class ? and so on

play with the diffrent classes and set ups and find the class that best works for you period.

one will say -

scorpion

light weight + flack

cold blooded

dextery

stock + fast mag + target finder

is a killer class i get 33-10 most games with it

yet you try it and you get 0-33

obvious it dont work for you there is no best class set up in this game all you can do is provide what people are useing and try to set a class that works well for you majoraty of the time imo

I just made this up today and have liked it so far.

Any SMG with fast mags and quickdraw.

FHJ18

Hardline/Lightweight (perk 1 greed wildcard)

Toughness

Dexterity

Sticky or Frag Grenade

Run and gun at it's finest if that's what you like. Went into mercanary moshpit today and needed a CTF class. So I threw this together. Never did play CTF though, so I took it into domination. Did pretty well with it.

From what I can gather, your issue is not that SMG's are dominant at CQB, but that you can also get kills with them at Medium-Long range. So, would you also get upset if you were using an SMG and someone with an LMG was able to kill you in CQB? Would you say they were overpowered? Would you come and cry about it on the forums?

If with an SMG vs an Assault Rifle (1v1) you: Win 80% at Short, 50% at Medium, and 20% at Long, then with an Assault Rifle vs SMG you: Win 20% at Short, 50% at Medium, and 80% at Long. That averages out to 50% (or 1KD) over time, assuming that there are an equal number of gun fights at each distance.

With LMG's and Snipers, the percentages are different, but the results are the same. You obviously aren't as good as you think, since you're getting yourself in to too many situations where the odds aren't in your favour. Sure you can blame the smaller maps to an extent, but it's still possible to use any gun on any map.

I do not know why this is my best class statistically, but it is, so it must be quite good

It seems to me that the MP7 is very good at hipfiring without the laser sight. At least in comparison to the other sub-machine guns. Save the attachment for suppressor, FMJ or the long barrel.
