Crashing while loading Dust to Dust mission on PC

Hello, using this laptop (asus g60jx)and it consistently crashes while running mwf 3 during the first 10 seconds of loading the "Dust to Dust" campaign mission. I have played through the remaining campaign with no problem, no hangups, and no absurdly long waits through the loading screens of other missions. I can play multiplayer just fine. Thoughts? Ram issue? gfx issue? tried downscaling everything to lowest quality and dropping the resolution to lowest possible (800x600 i think) and still no luck on being able to finish the final mission of the campaign :'(
