Once got killed by my own chopper on CoD 4. They used to fire the dumb missiles that just missed everything...

Not this time, it fired while it was entering the map and it hit me and 3 other teammates on HC and got me kicked...

Exactly. You can't call in a lightning strike right on your position or run in front of your sentry gun the same way you can't throw a grenade then run over it(yes I have done this) and not expect to get killed. This is not new to this series so I don't know why the OP is so surprised by this.

While I'm sure it can be extremely annoying, is this really that much of a surprise? In every COD online play ever, your kill streaks can kill you. Swarm is particularly deadly since they are flying everywhere and exploding. Swarm is so deadly, that waiting a little bit after calling it in before continuing to move around killing is probably a great idea. Since the Swarm usually takes out the entire enemy team multiple times, trying to get more gun kills while it goes to work has little benefit.

Happens to all killstreaks/scorestreak in any CoD game. For some reason your own killstreaks can kill you while your team mates can walk through everything, its stupid i never understood it.

I'd like to be able to run round and keep playing when I've called my swarm in, seems wrong that if I kill someone in CQC and a hunter killer has locked onto them I'll get bummed. I'll be better off with the puppies if nothing gets done about it. What do they expect us to do? Camp indoors hiding from own own scorestreaks?
