Hey, my clan is level 10 and I'm the clan leader, my clan tag has become gold already, but my teamates haven't, but on they're elite on the computer there names do have a gold clan tag. Only the clan leader can have the gold tag in the game? Thanks.

It has to do with being Premium. If you have Premium Elite accounts you most likely have a gold or yellow clan tag from the very begining like i did. Members who are not premium have to wait till their clan reaches level 10 to unlock gold clan tags.

Some players in my clan had to enter Elite thrugh the BOII online lobby before they got the gold clan tags :) If everything else is done correctly this may work!

To anyone reaching Level 10 on BO2, entitled to their Gold Clan Tags.

Using the PC is easier to explain what to do. Sign into Elite, Click Clan HQ, Choose option 'Manage Clan' (Only for the Clan Leader), On the first page it gives you your clan name, motto and band (for MW3) and to the right, a clan tag box. Type in your ideal clan tag and wait and see if it's available. If it is not, you may need to vary it a little using capitals and lowercase letters.

Very good instructions! We had these problems too. We had to change some letters and marks in our tag, to fit in BO2 and MW3. If the tag is occupied in BO2 you need to change it. There is one way to have your "old" clan tag with letters golden in BO2. When your clan tag is admitted in both games, you can change it in BO2 barracks and it still stay golden...Ps. when you change your tag in Elite, it will told you is it free or not and after you change it BO2, you must shut down the game and start it again, tehn it will be golden. Your friends in party will see the change of colour in their party list....

Clan is now lvl 10 on Bo2 and still cant seem to figure out how to get the gold clan tag to show up..... anyone figure this out in the past 20 days since the last post?

That is probably a glitch, if that is the case then BO2 is not making sure that people are in the clans they say they are in and is offering gold by just clan tag status. Either way, I have provided all the information I have, Meh or no Meh, it is what it is right now.

First off, I have members in my clan (we were lv. 50 in mw3) who put ANYTHING they want for their clan tag, and sometimes it will be gold. Some people who use our official clan tags will sometimes be gold, othertimes not. So Meh.

Have you guys read the posts on this thread? The answer is above I will explain it one last time.

To get GOLD clan tag in BO2

1- Your clan must be level 10 or higher in MW3

2- You must type the clan tag as it is on ELITE. If you do not type it exactly it will never be gold.

3- If your clan tag has any characters in it, it will not work. BO2 does not not support characters. Example clan tag : EVIL ( this will work ) EV!L ( this will not work, ! character is not supported in BO2)

4- You have 2 options if you have a character in your clan tag:

1) have your clan leader change the clan tag with no characters in it. If done, it is possible you might not be able to get your old clan tag back.

2) Wait it out to see if a patch will take place. Many clans have characters and have the same issue. Also wait it out till your clan reaches level 10 on BO2, you never know what will happen.
