with udp (protocol used for cod) 3-5% packet loss is expected as udp as im sure you know from my other posts are orphaned packets the moment they leave your network.. 3% on one hop is abit worrying unless its peak time

Update...

had my telecom provider do a check of all the lines from from on my home to the local exchange and then to the Australan exchange which is the last stop before it goes offshore to mw3 land.

guess what it checked out fine. One hop in the local exchange drops up to 3% packs a few times a day. But that is a about all.

so my rig is good

cable intrafracture is good

ISP is good.

set up a continuous monitor today. Played hours of

1. Borderland 2 multiplayer

2. Black ops 2 MP pls bots

3. Mw3 survival on line

All fine.

play 5 min mw3 and its just like my OP. I just want at get 2 clean hours and I'm done......

ATVIASSIST....any tips?

Connect to xbl

Start mw3 MP

Drop xlb

Reconnect xbl

Restart mw3

RInse and repeat x 5

Finally get a game

Game freezes 15 secs in

Mw3 server connection error

Restart Xbox

Rise and repeat x 6

Again get a laggy game

Drop out half way through

...

You get the picture............aaargh!

No other MP game does this.

mw3 goes OK for a while (sure lag, NZ, US lobbies, connectivity. issues evey day only get to play 3/5 games through most days)

But this is a whole new level of horror...

What's changed with xbl/mw3 now?

Thx for responses.....no solutions.....but at least I know I am not alone....that is some slight relief. Thx all for sharing your painful experiences.

Yes....I agree with you all, it is SO BLOODY FRUSTRATING......no matter how well we play not only do we lag and lose but it's impossible to finish a gsme get some points. I had a session where I only got 2 full laggy laggy laggy games in one hour of play it was bloody awful.

I am P IX L 35 I just want to max this woeful mess and move on to BO in prep for BO2.

Its such a crying shame if is wasn't for the horrible connectivity and lag I have suffered from day one mw3 would have been great.

am having the same problem get into game then kicks is out saying mw3 server is not available but when ya look ok mws web page says server running corretly ******* joke that is how can it be with all the problems not been able to play on mw3

ive been having the same problem and its really frustrating.

Ive had 8 losses out of 10 from this crap.

i get a pred missile and calling it in, everything freezes. BS

PS3 is having the same type of problems with getting server disconnects this week.

- Set up has been same from day one and is properly configured

- xbl is fine on other mp games

- leaves mw3.......and/or how it talks to xbl..........

And I don't expect a solution....just put me out of my misery and give me a hint on mw3 goings ons..........
