Lately it seems more like the adults doing the rage talking than the kids. And like SheSaidNo said ... when a squeaker comes in, for some reason the adults in the lobby tend to immediately start mocking them - even when the kid is being respectful.

That's really pathetic.

You got a self-mute button, folks. I call out, "BS!" plenty enough myself. But I turn the mic off so people don't have to listen to it. If I need to communicate, I just turn it back on.

Also, 90% of the time there's someone trash talking, it is one of the worst players in the lobby. What's up with that?

So they can post rage videos on youtube and get a zillion subscribers.

It's a new fad, nobody wants to watch their moab videos so they do whatever it takes to get subs.

Its funny when you are the one that makes them mad, when i get moab'd (in a game i was actually playing) i send congrats messages.. but what do they say? noobs... -_-

anyways, i love to troll in SnD with my riot shield xD .. they get mad, i laugh alot!

I do rage at times, but I have really done my best lately to just keep cool and not feed the trolls. I think the best revenge is having a good game against someone who is talking trash, and just silently watching as they curse and moan, then back out of the lobby.

id like to see people talk trash less, i have talked trash, but i never start it, i have though changed my approach, i kind of just agree with whatever they say and continue playing

people accuse me of cheating/hacking/modding/ camping.. whatever, it doesnt matter what I say, its not like they are going to be like " ohhh okay, yeah he isnt hacking" so why talk to um.. haters hate, thats what they do, i just try to figure out a way to get 2 more before the day is over

Both younger and older people do it, I think it's the 20-under crowd mostly. However if your 21+ years of age grow up and especially don't feed into a kids trash talking.

Lets face facts. There's no age limit when it comes to hating on the internet. I actually think most of the people who talk crap are the 20's to 30's. Especially when a squeaker comes in the lobby, everyone jumps on them.

And that's the power of anonymity. It won't change until people are held accountable.

Agree with the previous posts. My take is that we are playing with many immature players and the anonymity makes them feel "grown up". I was just in a game when 2 "children" tried to goad me with their trash talk and obscene language. I remained silent and ignored their taunts, when they realized I would not play their game they left (good for me). The racial/sexual slurs and use of obscene language gives me great concern for the type of adults these children will grow into. Always take the high road and lead by example. If it is just bravado there is a risk that their language and uncivil behavior will become habit - thus future societal problems.

If somebody lets another person get into their head over video game trash talking, then that individual is weak minded and needs to reevaluate themselves.

Although different, i think Trash talking in sports is stupid too. NFL for example you're getting paid to play the sport not run your mouth. My favorite team(hometown team) is the Steelers, my team isn't big on trash talking like a lot of other teams out there. every once in a while be might respond to something but 99% of the time they just play and then move on.

I didn't talk trash in high school or semi pro football, ignored them and let my play do the talking. Even with sports it's still just a game and some people go way too far and personal with trash talking.

My buds and I only do it when the other team is full of a bunch of tryharding nerds. They get so ticked off. One threatened to hack my account, and his voice was so shaky it was scary...

Anonymity creates bravado. People hide behind their GT to act tough.

The worst is when it gets mean spirited. Sometimes it can be just good fun, but would like to see sportsmanship return in some degree.

Trash talking is just a way of getting the opponent out of balance. Look at other sports, football, ice hockey etc. But there is of cource that line where it gets ugly. Kids like to get past this edge...

exactly is just a game if people rages and scream at other people then they have problems. I think the reasons why people trashtalk is not because their parents don't do anything but rather most of the kids these days are left alone while their parents work and so they think it's easier for them to trash talk. What I can't understand is those that are supposed to be "mature" and still trash talk, those guys have problems.

Unfortunately, this game is full of 12 year olds who care too much about a few silly numbers which is there K.D so they get extremely angry when they do bad in a match and send hate mail. I agree there is no need and never in my 2 and a half years of playing CoD recieved a good game message. Now that is bad...

Welcome to the internet... While cheating does happen.. there are some people that feel that they are always the best at everything and should never loose (I blame parents). So ofcoures if they get beat you had to of cheated.. and since they are a voice behind a screen name and have no fear of you being able to come beat them like there mamma should have then they just pop off at the mouth. I'm with ya though.. I've spanked and have been spanked.. but its a video game.. if it bears so much in ones life that they have to rage to the lvl I've heard.. well... someone needs to revist how they live their life

I don't quite get why people feel the need to trash talk constantly and be negative? Personally it doesn't bother me, I'm usually in party chat because it's annoying or I'll just ignore them. Why not just say good game and move on? i've beaten people really badly and i've gotten beaten really badly, but i still dont feel the need to bad mouth somebody. You can't win every game, just relax and have fun, after all it's just a video game and it's not that serious. If you really feel like somebody is cheating, just report it.
