You know exactly what you are going to get. You know exactly what the sightlines are going to be. You know exactly where the buildings are, where the windows are, where the objectives are. So what always happens is... people do the same thing on every map. How many people out there hate to hear this- "Oh, this map. I have the greatest spot on this one!" Really? Really? You are going to go to the same spot? Objective games can be a nightmare with the spawn frags and camping because, lets face it, everyone knows where to go. TDM and Free For All matches become unplayable because people learn the predictable, redundant spawns.

I think we'd all like to see some variety in the series. Something like the OP is suggesting or some of the suggestions in this thread would make every match unique. Battlefields are ever-changing, conditions are ever changing.. in CoD they are eternally sunny, or dark, or snowy. It would be amazing to battle the elements and battle the playing field as much as you battle the opponent.

Very much agree with your assessment about map familiarity... having weather would change that dynamic and just make it more fun and interesting.

Your idea needs to be tweaked a bit. Weather doesn't change just like that, and games don't last that long to really have a realistic change in weather that's actually noticeable. I think maps should have preset weather. I think maps should have preset weather. Rain that will start to poor harder as the game progresses ,or a fog, etc!

That map with the intense snow blizzard, where you couldnt see 5 feet in front of you. Not like the map storm, although i liked that map.
