Completely agree! They need a major overhaul and really need to re-think the system mechanics of zombies, which have not become antiquanted, I mean basic issues of latency and host migration could have been resolved with the release of BOs. I think to add to your list though:

Pause: this is a big headscrater and difficult to get the balance right on - should host decide on a pause (but then potential for trolls)? Take a team vote (then you're locked out? But what if a player is ready? How do you deal with only one person on the map in game? etc.)? The only thing I've come up with which I think would work soundly is maybe something along the lines of a 'cool down spot' (where a player(s) might go to remain safe (even if it's for a set amount of time)) or a 'continue' option, where at the end of a wave (say every 5 or so maybe (as it could become annoying), each player has 10 seconds to press start, if everyone does so the next wave continues otherwise a 5 minute (or voted or other set and selected amount of time) break is allowcated then the game continues.

Rejoin: it seems we're all thinking the worst - I think allowing people in-and-out of games would be fantastic. So maybe to be 'in' a game, it pauses and the players currently in take a vote (some stats are also given, such as if anyone is there friend, wave score, etc.), if that person doesn't get a good vote, they're not 'in' and they can't request again for the same game. To be 'out', the 3 chances sounds good, but it could extend the 'in' system, so people just take a vote, I disagree about looking at their highest round (to prevent boosting - again, checking the stats for the 'in' is at the discretion of the otehr players, plus boosters always show their colours and they're hardly going to do us any harm, what's more ensuring they either go down with the team or survive at least 10 more waves (before they're score is recorded) could prevent it) as this prevents friends and genuinely 'out' players from joining.

High-rounds: I do think this is somewhat of a technical issue, particularly as zombie players become better and the community has grown, that there needs to exist some mechanism for making more powerful weapons (be it double, treble, etc. pack-a-punch a weapon or super-powered special weapons (where more than one is available) as killing zombies, especially with walls weapons (PaPd) is completely uneffective. I think this is due as they didn't expect people to get past waves such as 60 or even 100(!) and allowed zombie's health to just grow by each wave exponentially.

Campaign mode: PLEASE!

I did have several more ideas but they've left me!!!

I think overall all of this hype for BOs 2 and keeping everything hush-hush is complete garbage - they bash on about 'the community', as far as I'm aware the community loved BOs and is looking forward to the sequel, BUT we HAVE (NOT had) major issues and they would benefit from taking our input and giving it a test drive, WITH US. At least that way WE can decide what would work best for the game, rather than having it rushed out and having the petty issues we're still raging over and praying they don't commit again! As well of course as helping with other issues that they're also most likely trying to figure out.

(Like this below):
8 Bars: 50ms or less
7 Bars: 50ms-100ms
6 Bars: 100ms-150ms
5 Bars: 150ms-200ms
4 Bars: 200ms-250ms
3 Bars: 250ms-300ms
2 Bars: 300ms-350ms
1 Bar: Anything above 350ms

Just increasing the precision of the bar scale would have the same desired effect, its also easier to see, and a lot of people (like i was) are ignorant of ping, so i feel that would work better. Just my opinion, its a lot easier to read the bars, and its friendly to those who aren't too tech friendly. As a gaming community, we want to be as inclusive as possible, not exclusive. I feel bars (but more of them) is the way forward to reach this goal.

Ping is a measurement of how long one networked device takes to "ping" another networked device. So, for instance, the "ping" between my computer and my router in the other room is only a few milliseconds. But the ping between my PS3 and my mate's PS3 on the other side of town, is say, 30 milliseconds. The higher the "ping", the worse the connection.

An ideal connection for many FPS's in the PC community is 100ms or less (some might consider it to be 50ms or less with dedicated servers.)

The problem with the bar-connections that Call of Duty shows on the scoreboard, is the difference between them. That's why you might hear people saying along the lines of "Yeah, I've got a good three-bar".

Here's what the connection's were rumoured to be for Call of Duty 4, if memory serves:

4 bar: 75ms ping or less.

3 bar: between 75ms and 300ms.

2 bar: between 300ms and 500ms.

1 bar: Over 500ms (Over half a second!)

So you can see why having 'ping' would be preferable to the bars, because both a 100ms connection (a great console ping) and a 250ms connection (fairly bad console ping) are considered three-bars!

Ping>bars.
