The function isn't altered. The function of the weighted servos are to give the rumble feedback when gaming with the controller.

The original parts are still the original parts, just in different controllers. I took one original part out of one controller, plugged it into another controller I want to use, then close it up and play.

The controller is still a controller when I move a heavy weighted servo into the slot of a small weight servo. It rumbles MORE to my preference. Still a customization not a modification. The function is still to rumble. If it were a modification I'd have altered the function of the servo and made the tiny motor play showtunes while I get shot or blow up from a grenade.

The servo has not been modified or altered as it moves from ONE controller to ANOTHER. Neither has the slot it's being placed into. The controller gave rumble feedback before, now it gives more rumble feedback but still rumbles and still gives in-game feedback.

Also, a modification would also be if a game developer altered the function of rumble feedback and had it so during the cutscenes of the single player, your controller gave constant rumble feedback, but during the game, gave no feedback at all when you were shot or blow up by a grenade or having a bumpy ride in a vehicle.

Ask Infinity Ward. Treyarch actively puts rate of fire caps on their weapons UNLESS it's automatic. Then it's okay to spray on that game. Same with Battlefield 3. Only way to win is to put the most amount of bullets into someone the quickest.

No, it alters function if your function is to drive at high speeds or corner at 1g. So you see your argument is pointless. You customized by modifying it's original parts and altering the way it functions.

The function of the weighted servos giving rumble isn't altered. The degree at which they rumble, intense personalized to VERY INTENSE.

The functionality doesn't change. It still rumbles.

If you changed your car's tires, that isn't altered/modified functionality. Your car rolled on four tires before you bought new ones, and it still rolls on tires after you buy new ones.

It would be modified if you put chains on your tires for winter or changed your tires out completely for treads. ( http://tiger.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/truck_tracks.jpg )

The chains change the functionality of your tires. Usually tires with rear wheel drive or front wheel drive don't handle slippery roads all that well. But adding chains makes their function for transportation winter safe. So do the treads.

If you bought nice shiny alluminum rims for your car over the stock rims, you are customizing. The rims don't change in function, it still holds the tread with the air inside connected to the hub and keeps your car elevated above the ground as you drive on all four wheels.

Wow. Ok you changed the rumble feedback on you controller (vibration). You alter the functionality. It rumbles differently than it should. If you change your cars' tires you've altered its functionality. Stop arguing a moot point.

I've no idea what weapon you're using but if you put Rapid Fire attachment onto the Mk14, M16, Type 95, it will fire faster. If you've played previous call of duty games, you'd know about Patch 1.70 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. It was implemented to stunt the rate of fire of the G3, M14, and all pistols. You had to remove Stopping Power from the 2nd perk and replace it with Double Tap to be able to fire as fast as you wanted again. They did that, I believe, to stop people from firing the M14 and G3 fast WHILE being able to kill quickly with Stopping Power.

I didn't alter the way it vibrates. Our controllers use a servo, a tiny motor with a half circumference weight, either half inch in diameter or a full inch. This servo spins, giving a rumble feeling when feedback from action in-game happens, firing a weapon, being blown up by a grenade.

It vibrates no matter which size I have there. The function would change if I put something else that vibrates as well. Like putting an old N64 rumblepak onto my 360 controller and making it rumble through that. I've no idea how to do that but that would be modifying.

I've not had to change any of the plugs for the servos to be interchangeable. They're one size and can fit a small weighted servo or a heavy weighted servo or no servo at all.

I'm curious. How old are you? I ask because you seem to be a little naive and argue things that contradict youself. You don't, however, seem to be unintelligent. Although if you were in middle school in '99 you can't be too young.

I've no point to make so usually would-be arguements are just conversations.

But Encyclopedia Britannica is a reference book and I included it as I've read the 1999 edition in my middle school. It was new and awesome.

Otherwise I don't mind if anyone believes me or believes what they want. The thing about that is being able to inform them is a choice. No one likes to see someone else be wrong. Or maybe that's just me.

Ok dude, in any case you alter the functionality of the controller. Vibration is a controller function. You altered the way it vibrates. You altered its function. You customized it to fit your needs and desires by modifying its functionality. And you can you both interchangably in this sentence: I ______ my controller for it to vibrate more. Argue all you want but it won't make you any less wrong.

Customize and modify are completely different.

You can customize your your body by getting on a diet and exercising and tattooing every square inch of visible skin. But modifications are new replacement limbs, extending/gauging earlobes/lips/nose, piercing.

Modify changes the function.

Customize changes the appearance to preference without changing function.

The colour is different on my black controller's buttons. The greyscale X, A, B, Y buttons are from the new silver controller they came out with that has the twistable D-Pad. The black thumbsticks from the new controllers they started including in the new Xbox 360 Slim consoles. And the SMALL weighted servo was replaced with a HEAVIER weighted servo from another controller. It's called customization. The function of rumble doesn't change, just the magnitude of it when I use that controller.

But I have started using the default controller that came with my xbox because the black one's left thumbstick started grinding against the top and otherwise started to not respond to sprinting gestures in MW3.
