Yesterday I played B. ops for an hour and what a difference it makes.

It's like switching a bicycle for a BMW. No skipped frames, hardly any lag, no spawn deaths.

I can't believe, that I used to complain about this game.

Treyarch please show those imbeciles how to fix MW3!!!!

This does seem to work for me as well! I suggest partying up. The more the merrier, but from as close to you as possible or it doesn't work. I play with my buddy up the street for example.

The lag is straight up retarded now. This game has gone to **** since the last update and I am just about done with it. I will not play a game where I can pump 10 bullets into someone only to get knifed.

To summarise : player with good connection (like me) have a disavantage, so We throttled our connection to have a better gameplay it's legitimate, so From now nobody can't host decently and the connection become worst and worst again. Thanks IW for this f****** mess.

What the hell is their problem they don't even comment about it. It's really sad that I've been playing cod4 lately because mw3 plays like it's being hacked. It's so stupid I waited 2 years for this game and I don't even play it. Guaranted I'd be playing the hell out of it if the REAL IW developed it.

They obviously can't fix it. If they could it would have been fixed by now. They weren't able to fix the host lag with Black Ops either. I still can't play that game without lagging like a mo' fo' so I have no interest in buying Black Ops 2 (twice the lag, half the fun).

The sad thing is MW3 played fine for me at the beginning except when I was host. With every patch they implement the lag progressively gets worse. I definitely haven't played it as much lately and decided to play a few matches last night and boy the lag was just pathetic.

I won't be buying any of the DLC and won't be buying any further COD games. I will be going back to adventure and racing games which is what I always played before COD4. I'll be playing Assassins Creed: Revelations. Bought it for my daughter for Christmas and haven't taken the time to play it yet.

It's sad to see such a great franchise go down the toilet but all good things must come to an end.

Maybe respawn entertainment will come to the rescue and make a game worthy of my attention.

All I can say is pair up with people who live around you and go into matches with them. Not really sure why it works so well but the concetration of your party playing out of the same area makes it much more bareable.

It's still there and at times can get bad but for the most part I've had little problems with lag

PS: It's not lag comp, it's just plain ol' lag that's causing lag comp to fail

There has been lag compensation in the game since CoD4, but for some reason I feel like they messed with a code that has been working since 2008.

Lag compensation is necessary, I just wish they didn't mess with something that worked fine in previous titles. Clearly IWs devs haven't heard the phrase "if it aint broke don't fix it" because they took something that worked fine, attempted to make it better, and failed

for sure...have also been playing cod4 for 3 days now , thought i try some mw3 again ...but what a big misstake that was ... first 6 matches as host .... its like so funny ending up as host all the time

You could always try adjusting your router settings a bit as well. I took my IPV6 and IPV4 firewalls off and I connect to a lot more matches a lot more easily now, seems that it's made a decent different after this most recent patch. Are the matches I get into better conection quality over all, no. But the point is that it is increasing my odds and making it easier to join matches, so by allowing myself to connect to more people I figure I've got a better shot at finding a good match. Just quit the rest with shitty connections, no point sticking around.

Also, you'll find every match varries pretty drastically as far as connection and lag quality through the durration of a match even maintaining the same host. Not really anything you can do unfortunately aside from possibly tweak your router and internet to connect with more people and turn your theatre mode off.

Yeah agreed... I have to say I am regretting my decision for buying the HE. I have always bought all DLC in the past so it was an easy choice for me... but alas, it seems it was the wrong choice.

Hers a update for you...G IH A IN ID II from IW has said that they have no hopes for fixing the problems with the horrible lag because they think alot of it comes from US or some of the customers beating the system THEY put in place.

All i can say is, with that being said DONT BUY ANY FURTHER DLC. I bought the HE so I am locked in. Otherwise these nO_oBs could kiss my arse.

It's absolutely terrible at the moment, mostly because the kids are on school holiday, which means shared connections and people using wifi.

What annoys me most of all is that fact IW or activision don't keep us updated.

I would love this game if it played right online. When im the host i literally have to shoot almost a whole clip to kill anybody. It's like my bullets aren't registering at all. It's the same about the corners too. I get shot, hide behind a corner, but I still get hit and die. I don't know what's going on. I'm not trying to complain just for the hell of it. This is a real problem.

It sucks but I am afraid that it's as good as it is going to get. Just embrace the lag and learn to shoot 1/2 second before you see the enemy. Don't be foolish enough to think that ducking around a corner will save your life and never assume that the person you just shot 12 times will actually die.

This game is a major fail in my opinion. The only thing consistent about MW3 is inconsistency.

they have said the feel that the way it is now (boosting slow speed and slowing fast speed) works fine but tweaks still are being done.
