I'm tempted to buy an xbox just to play the full series, as us PS3 players don't get to enjoy the 1st one sadly... but gunna wait for Halo 4 to buy an xbox

Exactly, I played the Beta and whilst it's not my style, nor do i have a clan to go on with so i don't feel like spending the money to learn, it's defianetely FAR more creative and requires much more strategy than cod ever will.

Are you shocked? They didn't really innovate at all, the newest things added to mw3 (on disc) were two new game modes, leveling up your guns and earning attachments/camos that way, instead of doing challenges... survival was basically zombies, most of the weapons from previous games "returned"... the MOAB is basically the Nuke AND the campaign was rushed.

The biggest thing they probably did was Specialist, and changing the way support works. You can't say infected was new, as they simply moved it from private match to online, big woop...

Haven't played BF3 (as it's not my style)... but honestly they deserve it FAR more, plus MW3 gun sounds are painful.

I'm shocked that Skyrim didn't win anything, as honestly i have had it since release, still love it, and still have lots to do.

Portal 2. Woot. :] Played through it at least 20 times. Entire game, every single SP achievement, under 3 hours. :]

BF3 only won because of its PC counterpart, the game is a piece of **** on the consoles lol. MW3 added new maps and updated but did not really leap forward that much in terms of gameplay(i still really enjoy MW3 a lot and play it 10 fold to BF3 on xbox).

game award is decided by the public not really surprising mw3 lost there,

as for the other awards they are decided by the industry themselves, again no surprise there then, they award for creativity and originality not copy and pasting.

Was nice to see Notch getting an award though for minecraft

Why the outrage? This was expected.

I have both MW3 and Battlefield 3, and Battlefield 3 is the better game by far. Although it isn't as good as Battlefield Bad Company 2, and doesn't have the instant adrenalin rush that CoD provides.

MW3 caters towards the 'mindless' run and gun type of player with it's small maps. I mean, almost every FFA I play has everyone mindlessly trying to get to a certain spot on the map. It was similar in previous CoDs but they had enough variety to accomodate different play styles.

Battlefield 3 has loads of variety in how you play the game. It's not perfect I admit, but it is the better game and deserved the awards.

yeah, cause MW3 isnt the best cod. i would have to say it is the worst, and i think bf3 is worse than mw3. i think that bf3 deserves the awards, because ea at least put effort into it, while iw just took same graphics, added some op weapons, and put in elite

No real surprise, The BAFTAs last year, mass effect 2 won best game, need for speed got the multiplayer. Black ops got the GAME award 2010 which was a public vote.
