Ah bugger a thread about the MK14, the secret's out!!!!

Anyhow I love the iron sights on this beast, suprisingly easy to use at long ranges, I tend to run focus and silencer. I don't see the need for any other sight other than the iron ones, and focus saves you alot on gun vs gun battles.

think it was the 2nd gun i burned a token on! love it! like rapid fire / red dot and red dot/ ext. mags...

and won't go into the beastly setup...as the Nerfer's will be coming out of the wood work...

but a great gun it is.... and just as fun in real life too!

I usually roll with the RDS and Silencer and .44 magnum side arm. It's actually a great choice for a stealth class. Since it is a precision gun, you're not wasting ammo firing a bunch to get a kill, which means you're less likely to be noticed by the other team.

I make liberal use of it myself, as well as the other semi-autos in previous CoDs. Knowing from experience the MK14 beats the rest. The best attachment for it is the Suppressor, since it'll still remain a 2HK at fine ranges -- not to mention keeping the gnarly 1HK headshot multiplier. This is what I use for my objective class;

Primary: Suppressed MK14 with M320

Secondary: Stinger

Equipment: Bouncing Betty and Trophy System

Perks: Recon, Quickdraw and Stalker (All Pro)

Yeah, since I can't pass up the Quickdraw + Trophy System combo, the Recon + M320 mix fulfills the flashbang niche. While a very specific purpose, I feel it's really only the first tier perk I can make the most of.

As for the Pro variant, that's debatable... there's of course the times when lag compensation kicks my ass, yet I'm able to get off one shot. Recon's there to make my life a little more bearable, lol.

I run iron sights with kick and a silencer..I unno i cant stand the red dots on it lol makes it look too bulky with the iron sights its almost like im holding my arm out pointing saying "die..die...die"

That is my usual set up for the MK14. Some times I'll substitute Kick w/ dual attachments and use the Red Dot and Silencer or Ext Mag and Silencer.

Recon being mainly for the m320? Interesting.

I feel like the pro part of recon would be a bit useless since if you engage a target with an mk14 you should be able to double fire and finish them off. And then without tac grenades you can't paint as easily. But if you're good with the tube....

I don't know what first perk would be more useful though.

Love the mk14 with a silencer and red dot! I don't understand how people use rapid fire though, doesn't seem like it does much. Best gun in the game

I've been using the silencer for the challenge, and I'm not a huge fan. It seems to take that one more shot sometimes to get the target down. Maybe I'll grow into it though
