Vonderhaar was talking about the Hardcore fps player that tend to be really vocal and are in these forums and watching videos on YT all the time. (they play hours upon hours and tend to be really good players.)

Are you saying that not many of these hardcore players play Core mode?

There are also plenty of casual players that play in hardcore mode.

David Vonderhaar was talking about the Hardcore community, as in Hardcore vs Casual players. It looks like you took it to mean Hardcore mode vs Core mode.

If they're gonna remove perks entirely,they might as well remove killstreaks and call it "battlefield 4 black operations".

That's a typical fanboy response and a response I could have seen myself having just a few days ago. Trust me an hour is not enough time to learn the mechanics let alone develop an appreciate for Battlefield's gameplay. I clocked in my first 8 hour in the pass three days alone and am still finding out new things. Imo there is a place for both games and any player who limits themselves to playing one instead of the other is doing themselves a disservice.

Battlefield isn't trying to be like COD. You don't necessary need killstreaks & perks to make it enjoyable.

I can understand your perspective on BF if you haven't played DICE's previous Battlefield games going back to BF1942 but it's great that DICE stick to their roots whilst not copying what COD devs do with their game.

He didn't say they would be removing perks completely:

Vonderhaar suggested, “if we can fix this, perks will be for ‘pub type’ fun and no perks for ‘competition type’ fun. They are different things.”

There would just be a "competitive mode" which disables perks.

@loliThinkuStink It's ironic that you would say that because i'm not the type of player to camp.I like to run around and rap3 sh!it up.Honestly,it's how call of duty is mean't to be played.I rarely ever camp and if i do then it's most likely to be strategic rather than a newbie.

Vahn's statement wasn't really about removing the perk system, it's more to do with tuning it to create a competitive & balanced enviroment.

That was me untill I signed up for the World Cup tourneys on the Blops forum (organised by anthos77). I played for Scotland and the lads showed me how to play DOM properly, without running around like a headless chicken.
