its very balanced now. imo the striker still is the best, just because a gun is a 2hk doesnt mean it is crap. the usas is freaking amazing so that is the best alternative imo. ksg is pretty good in ffa and is consistent. spas imo is terrible and the model 1887 is inconsistent. also the aa12 is actually pretty good! but specialist is a necessity because it feels really consistent with scavenger and soh pro. .

USAS with range is my favorite by far even over the striker with damage or range. The USAS gets me more consistent ohk at range or in close

My favorite shotgun is the KSG without a doubt. Great damage, great range, great clip size, and just plays great. It is really powerful without being overpowered, unlike the striker. I love it when i one-shot the 7-year old striker noobs and hear them start whining. Long live KSG!

USAS = takes out more enemies in CQC engagements faster.
KSG = Take out one guy as effectively or more effectively (by a small margin). HUGE ammo capacity. Extended Mags was pre-built into this gun. 90% of the time you will respawn before you can fully empty your mags.

KSG is very hard to play with, with all the lag comp.

Most of your time the bullets roll right off the other team. Very frustrating...

Holy hell. Just threw on a naked USAS and went 29-6 :|

Edit: Second game, 34-5. This doesn't seem fair.

Damage/Range profiecencies should be fun..

Well, regardless of wihch shotgun is best right now, the 28 level grind is definitely a pain...

Edit: Also, can someone explain to me how to kill someone with Final Stand with a shotgun, without being killed? :|

USAS all the way. its full auto, but its fire rate slow so its super easy to control. its got good stats across the board and gives you extra sprint time. also, as long as you are accurate, you will beat a striker at mid range (for a shotgun).

spas is still better than the ksg in my book. They gave the spas a pretty good buff at range, the stats don't say so but You can 2 hit a guy at max range almost every time with damage proficiency, for that to happen with 7 damage per pellet both those shots would need to land 100% of the pellets to get a 2 hit kill. Im guessing the damage profile on the spas is now 49-21 with damage proficiency on. That still gives it more damage in all of the ksg's range and they have the same spread size. My ranking is

1. usas12- medium fire rate high power up close

2. 1887- high power in all of its range, less acurate spread

3. spas- medium power at all ranges tight spread

4.striker- spam

5.ksg- high power up close, lower range and rate of fire

6.aa12-range of a sword

Take it from the guy with the KSG, USAS, and AA-12, all gold, that the best of the 3 is the USAS, then the KSG, then the AA-12. But still outperformed by the Sniper...er...Striker.

The best shotgun in MW3 is actually the AA-12 from MW2. You have a better chance of shooting it 2 years from the past, to get a kill today, then any of the current shotguns.

I gotta say the spas is the worst shotgun out of all the shotguns. I used all the shotguns after the patch and with damage and the spas performs the worst. Out of all the other shotguns the spas is the only shotgun I get the most hitmarkers with even with damage even the model out performs the spas.

This is what I was thinking. I love pump shotguns, but the KSG is so freaking slow. Unless the other person is REALLY bad, if the first shot doesn't kill them, you're dead before it finishes pumping. Not to mention, how the hell are you supposed to kill Final Stand scrubs? If they fall to the ground and start spraying, it's the same situation. Takes 2 shots to kill and it pumps way too slowly.

Though the KSG is really good with a silencer+damage/range. Still 1 hits usually and even if they don't die, they don't know where you are, lol
That's my only worry, though. The KSG has more pellets than the Spas so I'm under the assumption that it's more likely to OHK. If I put a silencer on a Spas, I've got a feeling it won't work out too well.
