I also suggest if you bought the elite throught psn to call them to cancell it and get a refund.PSN was very nice and helpfull, said they understood my issues and felt i was justified in my complaint.I should recieve my refund in 7 -10 days. I probably will be only getting 2 of the dlcs anyway and playing somthing else before the 3rd comes out. And continue to contact activision- maybe if they start loosing premium money and keep getting complaints they will see that the ps3 players have had enough of the b.s.

okay this is round 2 of my live chats it was like drawing teeth at times trying to get a straight answer but i think i managed to at least see whos responsible for what here. its long again so sorry but enjoy more than i did please thats another 40 mins im never getting back. the party line seems to be we just need to wait patiently.

Jayvan S.Thanks. Sorry you are going through this, I can understand your frustration. You shouldn't be going through these troubles.

"This may be caused by a faulty game disc, or problems with the PlayStation 3.
Check the disc for abrasions, scratches, and dust.
Ensure the PlayStation 3 is in a cool, well ventilated place.
Try deleting the game data. Go into the XMB menu. This is the menu that you see when you turn on your PS3. Select Game / Game Data Utility. Select the game and press the triangle button. Select Delete and then press the X button to confirm. Once this is done, reinsert the game disc in the drive. You will need to install the game data to the PS3 again. This should not affect your saved game as it is stored in a different folder.
Try the game on another PlayStation 3.
If none of the above resolves the issue then this may indicate a problem with your Playstation 3 and you will need to contact Playstation Consumer/Technical support at (1-800-345-SONY).

vanceok i appreciate you have a set of guidelines to follow but this is my 2nd live chat and a copy paste response is not what im looking for. ive done all of the above , have an immaculate disc and a 3 month old ps3 with no issues with any other blue ray discs. these problems are more prevalent since the recent update. as the disc read error is a global error affecting many mw3 users id like to know if there is a reason for this error. forgive my irate tone it is not your fault i appreciate that but im at the end of my tether now

When I talked to them I asked what was going to happen, they told me I'd get a case number and it would be followed up. I got no email with a case number, but I did get a "how did we do" form from them, so I slated them as eloquently as I could in that.

I think unlike my credit card, they have a low rate of interest.

I went on and spoke to them yesterday, not going to post it on here because i was bored at work and dragged it out for an hour or so

Got pretty much the same response as everyone else, except they said the latest patch on the Xbox, was for the DLC. ( No idea if this is true or not )

I also pressed for an answer regarding WHY we don't know the official date for the DLC release.

Basically it is down to one of these reasons

1. Its not ready

2. It doesn't work

3. MS want it to be released to non elite users first.

Wouldn't say which one but my guess is number 3.

Like I said I was really bored at work yesterday, so i also phone the help line and spoke to a superviser who actually was quite nice, and understood my frustration, but said i knew as much info as he did.

However he did give me 2 hrs of double xp, to shut me up

David I was wondering why is the PS3 not getting the same treatment as the Xbox? Looking at the updates for both systems the ps3 is way behind. The host lag compensation makes the game completely unplayable. Where is the patch we were promised?

Anthony A. All patches are implemented to across all platforms at the sametime.

David I find this incredibly hard to believe since you can look at the patch code numbers on both systems and the ps3 is on a less current version than Xbox.

David I understand that DLC can't be released the same due to the Xbox agreement, but the hot fixes and patches sure can be. It seems to me that activision isgiving PS3 users second treatment.

Anthony A. You can not compare one products for different consoles.

Anthony A. Different platforms have different operating systems and codes.

David So why hasn't the new patch for the ps3 been dropped yet. I have read other conversations from other live chats and all other customer service representatives and said they know its not released yet

great thread lads, i have'nt had the chance to speak to activision yet.. i will .. my whole gaming experience with MW3 is terrible just like yours with the LAG issue's being the main problem.. the only thing i worrying about is "some say the most rotten part of a fish is it's head" and im actually wondering if in speaking to these non technical live chat bod's we are actually getting anywhere... yea it's a great thing to do but if IW were that bothered they would be commenting themself's on these official forum's ? im at the point where i think if COD4 MW1 did'nt have these port forwarding problems why should MW3..? especially not liking the idea of being told but Activision to put my PS3 into a DMZ which sits outside of my router's firewall.. Also the Filmware that the Xbox is using compared to the PS3 is disgusting as we can all clearly see that the Xbox is taking priority in the new DLC but more to the point the recent patches etc.. why Sony cant step in is behond me tbh ? i think we should use IW like there using us ... basically see how the next few months go with regards to patches for the PS3 to get the game "MW3" upto the standard we are used to with COD..use them as there using us also by puting IW under the microscope of seeing how quick this LAG mess can be sorted out now we are passed the holiday period and gearing up for the DLC launch etc.. then if IW cant deliver on making MW3 upto the same standard as the Xbox is then we should treat IW like there treating us in neglecting there future product's.. i cant tell anybody not to want to purchase IW products but if IW are only bothered about sales with no customer focus, or care & attention, then why should we as consumers be interested in anything IW has to offer..? the door swing's both ways im afraid .. RB might be talking the talk but he obviously isnt walking the walk right now..

we only wanted to be treated fairly in all this fiasco but the favourtism pointing towards microsoft's Xbox is bang out of order when i have spent the same amount of money purchasing an IW product as any Xbox owner. just thinking how IW look at me & all the other PS3 owner's is angering me even writing this..!!! the waiting game is wearing thin now & its only been 3 months since this faulty product was released. if IW cant fix MW3 then they should tell us before anymore inocent customers purchase MW3 or pay for DLC that will never be to the Xbox standard.

This is complete cheating PS3 community of a quality experience right along with Xbox.

ok ive just had a full nights play no errors or freezing after deleting the patch data and re downloading it. interestingly the old data was one file 111mb or so but each individual patch is 21mb as was the new file size i downloaded.

that has definitely helped the freezing issue whether the disc error not happening was coincidence or not ill find out tomorrow.having some flawless games tonight just frustrates even more tbh i know mw3 from all the games out there is the one i wanna play but these effing issues just wont allow it mostly

So i did my part sure hope they will do something with our complaints but there is no way to be sure. I think its an upside down world when we have to pay a lot of money to become their beta testers and suffer poor performance with a game wich is already part 3 and getting worse every sequesl they release!

this game has become battle of the connections thoes with good connections to the game get 30 and 5 and thoes with good fast stable internet get 5-30 theres no skill anymore, you can tell when someone has a good connection because they start running around like a mad man sniffing the kills down. im sick of this game and the amount of work you have to put in to gett a good connection with fiber is unreal. when the connections good its brill but its a shame it only last for one game after messing with your ports setting downloads of any old **** going after the game is up it migrates who toooooooooo meh unless one of you are in the room with me then it's a toss of the coin.
