The AA-12 takes 2-3 shots even up close unless you're lucky enough to get a headshot kill, which ends up in you eating up its ammo quickly, hence the ammo buffing request in the first place. It only really hits effectively at near-point blank range because of it having the widest spread and shortest range of all the shotguns. Same thing applies here. ADS fired weapons are more accurate than hipfired even when it comes to shotguns. SA reduces the hipfire reticule size so it does not spread out as much as normal.
