I have the elite on my main profile,which is where i have to go to download new content ,DLC etr, however on my second account which is also on the same xbox i can play all new content, just cannot download new stuff on it regarding elite stuff, if you get what i mean, sounds to me you might have to download everything again on your main account, and then hopefully it will show up again, good luck,

You seem to manage fine.

So you know though for future reference any purchase of DLC has usage restriction set for that DLC and those are simple to understand.

The item you are trying to download is subject to usage restrictions. You can use this item on the first Xbox 360 console you downloaded it to. Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console. If you transfer the item using a memory unit or other storage device, you will also be able to use it on other Xbox 360 consoles, but you'll need to sign in to Xbox LIVE with your Xbox LIVE account on that console before accessing the item

Activision tried to screw over the Microsoft user agreement to fit their agenda by disabling local license. They are also at it again with the June 19th update. Greed is Activisions top priority.

They are at it again. Going against live marketplace terms and conditions, Micosofts licensing agreement of You can use this item on the first Xbox 360 console you downloaded it to. Access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console

If IW reallys had an "awesome dialog" with its community like you claim, instead of hiding behind 120 characters or less on twitter, this kind of crap would never happen.

Instead of being pro-active and resolving issues before they explode, we get this along with lack of HC options, OP weapons, poor spawns, lack of dbl xp weekends, horrible communication, colored clan tag glitches, under map glitches, ect....

I guess IW will never learn from MW1, MW2......

Maybe its time IW was replaced by a dev studio who apprciates its custoemr base and doesnt just blow smoke up thier butts 3 months before release and disappear and act like its such a tuff job listening to the customers who just broke tons of sales records for you.

Ya crazy idea I know.

Only one gamertag. Plus it says so on the back of BF3 for example.

On the back it does say you must be 13 to register BUT I found this

"In order for children 12 years old and under in such jurisdictions to participate in online activities that require registration, we require prior written permission or other verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. In other jurisdictions, prior written permission or other verifiable consent may be required from a parent or guardian for children under 14 or 18 years of age. Upon registration, the appropriate permission form will be made available. This form must be signed by the child's parent or guardian and returned to Electronic Arts by fax or mail to the Privacy Policy Administrator in the relevant country. Children 12 and under may not participate on certain of our sites. In some cases, we may not permit children under 14 or 18 years of age to participate in certain of our sites."

Too bad no matter what you type in the EA support page, it still doesnt work right. I am not going to waste 3 hours looking thru every page.

Its redicolous that every online pass faq doesnt have the Frequently asked Questions people ask.

BTW the EA Terms dont have age limitations. It says as long as you have parental consent you can use the online features. Too many contradictions.

There is no ruling that says kids cannot play this game. Its called parental choice. If some parent lets his kid play a game then they can play. Even the MS Terms state kids can play with any game on XBL with parental consent and/ or supervision.

If you dont want your kids play this game then thats fine too, but you cant tell a parent how to raise their own kid.

Unless you buy an EA online game (FIFA, Need for Speed), in which case EA's terms say that a child under the age of 12 or 13 cannot play online on their servers and they enforce this by checking the DOB on the XBL Gamertag. Theres no way around it unless you lie about the childs age on the Gamertag.

Its up to them obviously, if it is their servers, but ultimately I pay for my childs Gold subscription for online access - you are absolutely right - I'll decide what the kids can play and I'll decide if they can play that online or not.

After spending hours trying to get my sons FIFA 12 account online without success I have decided it would be better to never buy a new EA game ever again. I really should cancel my SWTOR account too...

From what I have read elsewhere the online pass for EA games is a file downloaded to your console hard drive. If that is the DRM holding console for the account that downloaded the pass then any Gamertag on that console should be able to access BF3 online or Bad Company 2 etc. I am going to test this out tonight. I've not bothered until now because none of my family tends to be fussed about EA online games.

I was reading about this at the weekend and I understand is this correct for PS3 as well - Any account on the PS3 with the online pass on it can play BF3 multiplayer.

I was looking into this because I own BF3 on PC and Xbox, and wanted to know if I bought a pre-owned ps3 copy I would still have to buy a PS3 online pass.

I am adamant that your Mrs should be able to play all of your XBL Marketplace on your console.

We understand that ELITE Premium Members on Xbox Live who purchased the latest DLC Content Drop for Modern Warfare 3 are unable to access that content while signed into other profiles on the same console that originally downloaded the content. This is unintentional and we will work to get an update out as soon as possible that corrects this issue and allows you to continue to enjoy the new maps.

Your whole comment is given with no knowledge of Mattireland's situation.

You are wrong in your assumption as to why this thread exists. Read through the whole thread. We have been talking about wives/girlfriends/siblings/families in general that cannot access the content.

Your discussion ending statement on XBox console sharing is also without merit.Besides the cost of running multiple Xbox consoles in a household, there are technical issues in regard to running multiple XBoxes on the same network. It does not always cause problems but it can do depending on your setup/hardware/router.

In regard to whether someone can afford a second or third xbox, that is an issue that is certainly not our business. Neither is the age (which we do not know, anyway) at which Mattireland chooses to allow his family access to certain content.

Everything you posted I already know from experience AND being stuck on the same 20 gig hardrive. I bought the slim due to the fact there was no more spcae for DLC.

you are also misunderstanding we are not on the same console. She has the old white console, pre HDMI. I got the slim.

PS the LTT is not the cure all solution. I still try to DL new stuff that says "assigned to other console(white one)" even though I already did the transfer tool to the slim.
I can still get it to go to the slim.

Like 3 of the sonic games worked fine on the new console. But the original one still would not unlock even thought the are the same in the unlocking procedure.
The Support guy told me to go thru all these steps and wasting an hour just to get back to square one. Even though I deleted all references of the game and delted the game itself the Sonic game was STILL locked. And when I went to the online web page it said on my console it was downloaded and was no where to be found. After 45 minutes the guy asked if I was sure I paid for it. That was even though I told him It said "purchased before" and so on. Even sent him a screenshot of the "payment".

After the hour of dealing with him he did a LT and I still get the "assigned thing on ever trailer, demo, etc.". As I said its not a problem to click "download now" but I hate it wen I go back twenty minutes later and nothing happened

Aha so you are on different consoles. In that case transfer your licences to your wifes console and you will both be able to play all content on that one. She will be able to play everything.

Only you will be able to play stuff on the slim, but that won't matter if you are doing the sensible thing and keeping the wife quiet in another room playing on her own!

There was no luck involved. The current standard on XBox live is that all marketplace games and content is available to all accounts on the XBox that holds the licence. This is how it is and is how it has been for some years and how many of us expected Elites DLC to work. It is entirely fair that XBL content is DRM locked to a console.

If it was locked per account though, that is another thing entirely. For those of us with families can you really imagine having to buy licences for multiple copies of say, BF1943, Trials HD, Bastion, or a game on demand etc etc, for EACH user in your household? No you absolutely would not do it.

Your analogy doesn't really work because in most cases the host pays for the buffet and everyone else eats free anyway!!! lol!

I understand what you are saying but some of us bought Elite just to save a few quid on the overpriced DLC. I do not have any of the Black Ops dlc because I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices for them. I likely will get them if they ever come out on a deal of the week, which to date has never happened...

As me and my family like playing COD together, especially since treyarch had the wisdom to finally bring in full split screen multiplayer, getting Elite "appeared" to be the sensible thing to do.

Now we find out in retrospect that the content we paid up front for is not subject to the same terms that we are used to (so far anyway) People are understandably pretty livid.

On another note, PS3 players paid for Elite too, where is their dlc and when are they getting it?

AND finally to sum up how tight-fisted activision are. Premium Elite subscribers can only download the new maps on their chosen platform. If I went and bought a copy of MW3 on PS3 today, why can't I just have the maps on that platform too?

I've said it a million times, CoD makes its money and then some. 16 Million map packs sold at $15 per pack plus all retails sales of the games. Do the maths. Activision gives that fanbase absolutely NOTHING back for free or cheap. Except a new mode called Dropzone...
