My download speed hovers around 17Mbps and my upload hits around 5Mbps.

As for CoD MW3: if I connect using a LAN adapter, I end up host every time. If I connect using WiFi, I end up connecting to a host almost every time. My ping on the LAN is usually around 19ms, but my WiFi ping is usually around 85ms+.

My download is usually around 30 and upload around .9, but it doesnt matter. I'm pretty sure that even with a 4 bar connection, the pony express is delivering my data packs in some games.

Actually, MW2 had no lag compensation. When i get a 1 bar there im pretty much screwed.

I had a 1.5 kdr in MWR which innitially started as 0.5kdr

Funny thing is you blame lag compensation for me getting high kills

I got a KDR of 2.25 in BO which is not bad for a 1bar Wii gamer

Yes its very strange those speeds but I do think in the main here were talking about milliseconds, and your internet speed cant normally be used as an excuse for bad play, not you personaly I mean in the main.

We all get bad games were we just cant kill anyone, but at the end of the day the vast majority of it comes down to your own actual speed from brain to hand.

Dont let your internet speed be a ready made excuse, or it`ll affect your game and get you down. Just enjoy the game and whatever happens happens.

Everyone seems like they have a better connection than me, so maybe I'm just imagining that lag compensation is screwing me bad. According to Pingtest I have a very good connection, the second to best result, but says some online games might not work optimally; should I trust it?

8Mbps download, 1Mbps upload. Ping depends on where the host is. IF the host's in zimbabwe, i'll have a 200+ ping, if the host's nearby, i'll have less than 80 ping.

The 100 Mbps you see on your pc is the speed of the connection from your pc to your router. It has nothing to do with your actual speed on the internet you get from your ISP. Speedtest does give you a good idea of your actual internet speed, but it may be different than your speed in game.

Now I have 64ms ping, but before I had 116ms. Weird, but I'm happy to know that my connection is not THAT bad... Right?

It seems like I have 116 ping and 1.46mbps of download. Comparing that to your connection, it looks like my connection is way inferior. This is just kind of off topic but Blops had lag compensation?
