token glitch does affect people diretly in game... unlimited tokens means at lvl 4 u will have all perks guns and others unlocvked which is cvomplete bs for those that play legit like myself.... a glitch is still cvheating no matter how u look at it... i say ban the glitchers and the aimbot and wall hack S.O.B.s and get it over with if they don't do something soon they are goin to lose alot of there customers to other games that don't have the bs

Did you realize that Robert Bowling has since updated the CoC since he started banning people for violating it? "Glitching" has never been a bannable offense, and a couple days after I was banned he tweeted a link to the CoC and I saw that it was updated a couple of days prior, and "glitching" was now a bannable offense. Also, I find it rather annoying that people are so pissed off about the token glitch, and everyone is excited that we got banned, yet people abused the damage proficiency glitch (which is actually game-changing) and they don't get banned for it and no one seems to care. I just feel that people need to get their priorities straight. A GLITCH that has no effect on other players or gameplay (Token Glitch) < A GLITCH that has a direct effect on other players AND gameplay (Proficiency Glitch). Yet, only the people who did the less serious glitch are the ones who get banned and reset.

Also, I don't quite understand the thought process of giving us 1000 losses, and 10000 deaths. Did they think that I was going to kill myself because my K/D wasn't above 1 anymore? All I have to do is subtract 10,000 from my deaths, and I have my K/D. And if people see my K/D and talk s*** I just laugh when I'm at the top of the scoreboard.

So I guess, I could honestly give a s*** that I got reset. In all reality, I did break the rules, and I knew that I was doing it before I decided to do it. But, I didn't think it was really that big of a deal, and I definitely don't think that the punishment fit the crime. Also, I'm annoyed that there are not going to be as many bans associated with the damage glitch even though that that had a direct effect on gameplay. That's just my 2 cents.

Your warning was the ToU you agreed to when playing the game. In addition, guidelines were also provided on these very forums. You were well warned.

You seek have a "warning" to stop breaking the rules when you knew in advance you were breaking them. In your analogy... I should not have to warn you to stop doing something on my property you shold not be doing in the first place.

A stat reset and 48 hour ban is not that harsh. The 10k losses and 1K deaths is just damn funny...

You caught me man. I have no idea how the "real world" works.. I only know from what I've seen on Call of Duty and Real World: Las Vegas. I 'm trying though, so bare with me.

As I was trying to do, try to relate this situation to Call of Duty. I'm sorry that I didn't go into EVERY detail in my response. I didn't know it was such a formality. Do you own Call of Duty? You make money when other people buy copies? No. So assume that we are at Robert Bowling's house for the release of Modern Warfare 6 and I bust out some marijuana. What would you do?

I know that if it were me, I wouldn't give a sh*t, who honestly cares. Leave it to the owner to keep track of what is going on. But for your sake, and knowing that marijuana is illegal, I would probably go to the owner of the house, let him know that someone is smoking out back, and let him take care of it. As a bystander, I have nothing to do with the person smoking weed, and I should not be involved.

As the RATIONAL (and I say rational in terms of realizing that you don't just go overboard all the time) owner of the house (Robert Bowling), I would tell the individual smoking weed that I don't want him smoking weed on my property. I would tell him that he needs to stop or leave (much like a warning). Then, if he doesn't stop and continues to smoke weed on my property, I would call the cops. I would give him a warning, then give him a punishment because his actions are not that serious.

So in terms of "glitching" in a video game, just inform the maker of the game, and as the maker of the game, the punishment should fit the crime. In the case of prestige tokens, a warning and resetting the tokens and double xp would've been sufficient. If it were done again, or if the same person that did the token glitch is now doing the damage glitch then yes, they deserve to be banned.

I hope you can step out of your box and try to comprehend the relationship between the two scenarios. Good day!

If it was my property and the cops came because of noise and found drugs that I'm sure you wouldn't keep on your person or admit were yours... I would be the one in trouble.

I think it's a little pathetic that people cared so much about a stupid glitch. It had absolutely no affect on anyone, didn't disrupt gameplay, and no other player would even know if someone was using it. I did do the glitch, and I am still pretty annoyed with the whole situation. I reached 5th prestige legit, then I did the glitch at the beginning of prestige 6, just because I wasn't planning on going any further (I was level 80 prestige 6 when I got reset) and I figured that it wasn't a big deal and I probably would just get my excess xp and tokens taken away. But no, I get 10,000 deaths and 1,000 kills (even though I hadn't even played 1,000 games). It's kind of a slap in the face in my opinion. Especially now that this damage proficiency glitch is out, and people are getting the same punishment that I did (if they even get caught) for an exploit that is far more game changing than a f***in token glitch... I mean, I pay $110 for this game, play 5 days and prestige up to prestige 5, then do a glitch that doesn't really benefit anyone in the long run, and has no effect on any other player, and I get reset back to level 1, everything taken from me, I'm given a sh*t K/D & W/L, and then now there is a worse glitch, and I'm sure that most of the people won't even be caught because it's not hard to just take the proficiency off now that people know that they are banning.. Just pretty pathetic in my opinion. I think that the developers and people in charge of bans need to actually take the time to realize what is deserving of a ban and what doesn't.

And for anyone who is glad that people got reset for the token glitch, why do you care so much?

Relate this into real-life for a second. Say you're at a party, and you decide not to drink. For the sake of this, we are all of legal drinking age, so no one will be in trouble if the cops show up. I decide to bring marijuana to the party, and I toke up in the backyard. Are you going to get pissed off at me, call the cops, and then be grateful when I'm given a ticket? My actions of smoking marijuana have absolutely no effect on you. I am keeping to myself by being in the backyard, and I'm not forcing it down your throat to come and smoke with me. It's my business, I paid for it, and it's really not a big deal.

So now back to "virtual" world, where real-life lessons matter a little less (I mean, we are talking about a game in which we KILL people)... And answer as to why it hurts you so much deep down in your heart that you have to cry about a token glitch....

That was my key to leveling quickly as well, watching challenges. Not using any gun past 500 kills per prestige to get the 30k+ xp from the challenges

I was lucky in a way though, i was 10th prestige before the fixed the problem with the prestige challenges resetting each prestige, so i was getting the veteran challenges over and over, good to level up fast but then again slightly annoying as i have like 8k kills with the ACR according to ELITE but on the in game challenges only 1800 kills and 210 headshots with that gun. Should of maxxed out the headshot veteran challenge along time ago.

To the people saying 10th prestige by end of novemeber is impossible, i done 10th in 5days 14hours. If you use specialist. hardline pro and keep an eye on challeneges while also getting 40+ kills a game in KC you level ***** fast think idone a prestige in 8-9 hours without double

a stat reset is welcome by the guys probably because how many people have horrible stats because of lag or crappy spawns and the glitch is still there so whats the down fall to getting reset

exactly what i said when i was reset i now have a actual challenge and this game became worth playing again

a friend has already decided to do the glitch again with no hesitation

BTW when your reset you get your original prestige tokens back from prestiging and some free DXP my friend had 6 hours i had 2,

really to stop people from abusing it again after prestiging again they should not allow you to earn prestige tokens after being reset.

if you were not given back your prestige tokens or being able to earn them after being reset my friend would not have been able to do the glitch again.

i know people are saying just reset us back to the rank we were when we did the glitch its not that easy they cant tell @ what level you started using the glitch

yes they could have just reset our prestige tokens to 0 & been done with it but they had to do some thing to us that might deter us from doing it again but its not going to work for many

so you think its IW fault that this glitch is in the game? i hope you realize that this is NOT an excuse to cheat.

game developers will NEVER find and fix every glitch or bug in their game before its released. you obviously dont know what it takes to make a video game and how long it takes to make the game even look playable.

every game will have some kind of glitch or bug that was missed because the developers are on the clock all the time and they have deadlines. that is why they release title updates for their games.

and saying you are not a cheater even though you did the prestige token glitch is contradictory since doing the glitch is in fact cheating. although one could say you are not a "habitual" cheater. though you cheated nonetheless.

but the fact remains that you CANNOT blame the developer for missing a few glitches or bugs because it is just NOT possible to fix them all in development. and you cant sit there and say "well if they didnt find it and fix it and its in the game, then we shouldnt be reset for exploiting it since its their fault for not finding it sooner." there is SOME level of common sense here that you should have. if there is a way to do everything WITHOUT doing it the normal way it has always been done, then common sense tells you NOT to do it. people who exploit CANNOT be "not banned" for lack of common sense.
