When this fix was implemented back in March, it fixed the majority of the problems dealing with lag. When the new Face Off update was released it was broken again to the point that this game became unplayable.

Please revert back to the changes that were highlighted in this topic.

This is not good at all. This means that there are going to more ppl lagging out games for ppl in the UK. No doubt all these low populated area players will be placed in UK lobbies and will reap the full rewards of lag comp.

way to go infinity ward, u guys just out do yourselves every time.

I am from India and I never find a server under 150 ms. I have a 20mbps direct line from my ISP. NAT type is open and no router or modem involved. My xbox 360 console and game are bought from united states. There are two friends of mine who have same consoles and games which they bought from states too, but they can find servers under 50ms. I ve spoken to microsoft and activision both. Please need your help on this.

Your lag compensation is faulty. Do not blow smoke with your consumers. The game for me is almost unplayable because your lag compensation handicaps me beyond what's needed. The little kids playing out of phone jacks are raping folks online,and you say your lag comp is working fine. Rubbish! We the consumers are not stupid, so stop insulting our intelligence.

Everything you described does not exist, ask IW, everything works fine as they intended, match making is flawless, lag comp is performing and functioning as intended.

They ensure this as when they play locally in the office they cannot reproduce the effects hundreds of thousands of gamers experiencing this have the following issues

- Internet or ISP issues

- Router not compatible

- Users are throttling their internet and causing the issues in the lobbies

The service you are connecting to, transfering packets of data in order to play the game in multiplayer mode has nothing to do with it, hense no fix or adjustments are required.

Also keep in mind, if every other game you play online performs and functions as intended, it is still your problem and has nothing to do with MW3 and connectivity.

I've been having an issue since about a week and a half ago. Constant lagging. I've got a 12mb conneciton, and have an open NAT, so it's just bad matchmaking still, or I guess I'd say so much as hacked gamer tags, but since i"ve no proof on it, I can't call anyone out on it. Just lots of lag, or I'd pump bullets into people, and they wouldn't register, or I'd shoot and get a massive sway when locked on a person(been happening in several instances tonight.) I mainly use the MK-14 so I don't have to be close to people, but also I don't feel like using fully auto guns. But now my KDR dropped from 1.110 all way down to 1.093. I at first thought it was just me just going through a bad streak. But then again, I've got 24% accuracy, and that's a pretty good accuracy for someone who hardly plays, that, and most the accuracy leaderboards are cheated any ways, but still. Games aren't supposed to have you yell expletives that can be heard outside of your own home, when you know that there's problems wrong with the game. I honestly hadn't touched campaign. never even finished the first MW's campaign. Just like playing with my friends, but if they even notice it, then there's a problem. I would really like to not touch the game again 'til this thing's fixed, otherwise I don't know if you can sue a gaming company for making someone snap over a broken game, but I've come close to having enough tension headaches for knowing what's going on, and not seeing any fixes. u.u; Sorry if it seems harsh or going over board and out of subject, but The matchmaking and lag comp are the primary issues for this game, otherwise it's a good game. I wouldn't have left Black Ops otherwise.

So there was a change, went from instances of lag to unloading entire clips and hitting nothing but air for the last 2 days. Connection is way down, hearing accents I don't normally hear all the time now, killed by invisible enemies and magical bullets. It doesn't matter how good you are if you're playing against wizards. Fix this please

I live in South Carolina, and with a small party of even 2-3 members, during Clan Operations it can take up to 5+ minutes to find a game.

Poor matchmaking all around during Clan Ops. Not just other countries.

That is because the searches go up by 50. There is no search for 40 or 60.

My ping is mostly between 40-60 if I test is. But in MW3 it always searchs for 75 or even 100...

Black Ops did not have an issue matching making internationally, indeed it felt sluggish a bit, but it did not affect the overall playability of the game, this the challenge with MW3 everything that is broken, affects the playability.

According to IW lag, lag comp and host-disadvantage does not exist as when they play together in the office they do not experience it. lol

All this game looks at is ping. I have 40mbps download and 10mbps upload and I throttled my connection down to 56kbps, basically dialup speed but still got 4 bars in games but very choppy because I didnt have the bandwidth to push the data, thats how stupid this game is coded. The main search should look at the region of the xbox then look at ping that way only UK connect to UK. Im sorry if you live in a country with low subscribers to XBL thats just bad luck I dont really want you connecting to my games thanks and ruining my game with lag compensation. So the bar system means jack really.

Same here, only got 3 bar lobbies, Everybodu had a 3 bar or sometimes only me, and the others got a nice 4 bar. Not fair, Everybody off the lobby came from the Netherlands, and I am the only one with a 3 bar...

Latest patch has ****** everything in finland now it's either 3bar connection or no games found it was fine a few weeks ago now there is just no way i can play this game it is unplayable.
And i am never host and there is either one guy with 4bar connection or nobody matchmaking suck atm i can't play the game

Hello, I don’t know how or why but since a week ago approx. I’ve experienced serious lag issues. I mean, everything was perfect, I could find a match between 50ms and 100ms with no problem but now, it seems that the algorithm matches me with people in Alaska? Seriously, matchmaking takes quite a while and most of the time, I m stuck in yellow and red bars...

I would love to know what exactly the developers’ team is doing. Everything was fine a few days ago. First the region lock, now matchmaking doesn’t work right…

If I recall correctly, this never happened to me in mw3 or black ops.

If you have a good pc play battlefied 3 on PC or dont bother. But yeah MW3 is broken the real infinity ward is dead and this game is a broken mess.

we can only hope that Vahn and treyarch can make a decent COD when Black Ops 2 is released. Unfortanetly it looks like COD is going the way of guitar hero.
