Becasue a very large portion of the gamers that buy the game like to do it or try it because of how YT made it popular to do. Plus all those QS montages give the game free advertising and draw players to the game trying to emulate what they saw sp they can be cool and liked too.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So no matter what reasons a person likes it or does not like it, nor what evidence is given for or against it. It will not ever be completely removed from the CoD series ever. No company would ever remove a feature that generates revenue no matter how much the players cry about it. They would be foolish to ever do so since those players would just move to the game that let them play in that style. IW/Activision are companies first and foremost and out to make as much money as they can off or each game made and sold. With impact on top. Funny that. Also these maps don't favor qsing. No real point in crying about getting qsed when holding on of these autos in your hands. I see qsers rage constantly while I dropshot beastmode them with the pp90 cqb. Quickscoping is slightly unrealistic, but so is the ability to fire most SMG's at long range. Black ops almost completely ruined sniping entirely though, and I believe that quickscoping has earned its rightful return. You need to take into account more than just the act of quickscoping. First, understand that, especially in black ops, most maps didnt have but one or two, overused long range fire-lines. With that in mind, realize that there was no real advantage to sniping. I do not know of any single spot that the ak74u could not make a kill due to range. So why is it that everyone complains that the sniper rifle had a way to compensate for the lack of distance advantage. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Second, with the maps being the size they were, being the lone sniper had another disadvantage. Given most game types, FFA, TDM,&amp;#160; HQ, and DOM, spawn exchanges occur generally within the first few minutes of the game. So soon after you hunker down for you authentic camp/snipe gameplay, you have enemy units spawn within the so-called distance equalizer. Without the ability to sight in quickly, you were easily out-gunned, and over run. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Third, and this is strictly towards black-ops, is that in the process of trying to extinguish quickscoping from the available play styles, they hindered the ability of a standard sniper, applying their sway effects and shot timer that required you to scope in for a second or two before you could take anything close to an accurate shot. This, even though seemed like a great way to end QSing, made the general principal of sniping obsolete. Its bad enough that any moving target on the board that spots you can effectively fire on you without having to move closer, but when you have to let them have their way with you for a few seconds before a confident shot could be made, it really does seem that sniping in general is what is taking the abuse. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; So, I really do think everyone should get over the entire quickscoping deal, and just move on. Its bad enough that when people get stomped, that there is always an excuse as to why, ALWAYS. I've been report by numerous people, not because of anything that really deserved a report, but because people honestly couldnt accept the fact that they were beat. I think the entire quickscoping deal is that everybody wants an excuse as to why they arent the best, because if your sniping, your either a "pathetic" quick scoper, or a "camper". &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; And BTW, I personal do not quick scope except when its absolutely QS or die.       <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:ce2f29a4-f78c-484d-9892-dd5a91adacbc] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt; For anyone and everyone who says QS is only for kids, you are sooooooooooooo wrong.&amp;#160; I am 41 years old and can QS with the best of em.&amp;#160; However, I prefer an SMG or an Assault Rifle on small and medium maps, and a Sniper on larger maps, i.e. Wasteland, Derail, etc...I work with a guy who isn't going to purchase MW3 because QS is back.&amp;#160; I laughed and said if you constantly get QS'd by a sniper than you aren't playing properly.&amp;#160; Most snipers prefer certain areas of a map that have a large area they can look at.&amp;#160; If you stayed away from those areas, your chances of being QS'd are greatly reduced.&amp;#160; If I get QS'd 2 times in TDM, or Domination, that is a lot for me.&amp;#160; I try to either stay away from those areas or try to flank them.&amp;#160; QS is a part of COD that is ok with me.&amp;#160; If you are dying many times by a sniper, then look at how you are traveling the map.&amp;#160; The QS debate is a foolish debate that isn't going to stop IW from allowing it to be a part of their game.&amp;#160; In my honest opinion, people that ***** about campers and QS, are just bad at the game and haven't learned from their mistakes.&amp;#160; I'm an old dog and I learn new tricks.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I love it when I go 15-2 on SND and some kid yells at me calling me a try hard.&amp;#160; I laugh my ass off and inform them that their whiney little asses got OWNED by a 41 year old married man with 2 kids.&amp;#160; They then shut the hell up and send me friends requests until I have to block them....lol. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:ce2f29a4-f78c-484d-9892-dd5a91adacbc] --&gt;</description>

AR's were made for ranges less than 300 yards. snipers were made for ranges 4 times that. doesnt matter a whole lot in COD because most maps are probably 400 yards square at most, and I havnt seen a FPS game that accurately limited the range of each class. But a realistic game isnt supposed to include REALITY! there is a reason that the military doesnt have 'trained quickscopers' for clearing houses. snipers are made for ranges anywhere from 25 yards to a mile plus. 10 foot kills just dont work with a sniper rifle. hence why snipers carry a sidearm such as a 9mm pistol or SMG, who's effective REAL LIFE range is at most 50 yards, and yes, most modern assault rifles have an effective distance of 200 or 300 yards, which in a lot of the smaller maps of the modern warfare series, is all the way across the map. As far as that goes I have gotten hits and kills with pistols from across the map as well, but I have with most other FPS games that i have ever played, that is just something that no one has been able to accurately program into the game i guess. Untill a game is released where the actual effective ranges of each weapon class are realistically pinned down, there will be people looking to have the difficulty of using a sniper weapon for CQB running and gunning. Then players (who dont understand reality) will get PO'D because they cant hit the sniper who is hitting them because he is out of range of whatever SMG they are using.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:77efc576-e949-4c15-a256-4f07cbdc3a26] --&gt;</description>

Snipers anyway wouldnt go into sniper lobbies, the snipers like to go up against fully auto guns. The only reason some people get angry is because of the fact that it bothers them that they die by a sniper. They can be going 100 - 6, but if those six deaths are from snipers they will rage on and on.
