I like both BF3 and MW3. They have completely different kind of gameplay and it's mostly a matter of taste.

I started playing MW3 yesterday and the first things I thought about were that the menu's were exactly the same as MW2 and how bad the graphics looked (maybe I was spoiled by BF3 graphics). You do get the great fast paced CoD gameplay. Maps are extremely small. (Smaller than BO or at least it feels like that for me.) But BF3 has much better gameplay overall if you don't take preference and bugs/glitches in account. Killstreaks were cool 5 years ago but it's not enough anymore.

Maybe a lot of people expected something else and are disappointed. If you wanted MW2.5 from BF3 then you should have just waited a week for MW3 and keep playing CoD titles.

I'm still going to play tons of MW3 because it's a great game, like all CoD titles, and I just had 160 hours of BF3 behind me so a little diversity is nice.

I have 5 service stars in 870 shotgun.

The problem with most of the people on this forum is they expect BF3 to be another COD game.

BF3 is not COD, doesn't play like COD, and if you go expecting that, you'll be disappointed.

I'll admit, the single player campaign blew hard. Multiplayer is a blast. And don't let all the glitches scare you away. It's glitches that make the game fun, especially when other people are there to laugh with you.

A couple of my friends are BF2 and now BF3 fanboys so I went and bought it. I had never played BF before and now I almost wish I never had. I will say after playing BF3 for a few hours, I went back to BlackOPs and absolutely owned. I hate that I wasted the money on BF3, but I'm excited and hoping that playing it once in a while will continue my skills improvement for MW3 next week. So pumped for the new COD!!!

I have seen some you tube vids on ultra settings using Geforce GTX 560 TI SLI and I have got to say 1020 Hd graphics are nice!!!

I wouldn't say the developers are competing with each other, it's basically the publishers that fight for the FPS Crown

Let's not forget the developers are gamers at the end of the day like us.

I'm sure a majority of the shareholders/CEO's of both Activision/EA have never touched a COD/BF game

And by the way, BF3 is a great game. Not a COD Killer but still something different for the FPS community.

You can kill tanks pretty fast with your jet's main gun. You also eventually unlock rocket pods and guided missles which can lock onto targets that are painted by friends tanks and snipers (with the proper equipment).

Yea I have improved my jet and I gotten to a point where I can disble Humvees and Tanks in one swipe if people spot.

I got rocket pods and they are better when attacking or clearing your MCOM from enemies.

It does suck that you can't see infantry dots from afar and set up airstrikes. The Recon's gadgets would become pretty good then.

ive noticed a few things in the single player lag and hit detection im on the 360

but im still enjoying the game ive just got passed the tank bit

I have noticed a bit of lag when it autosaves on the campaign and had a couple of hard freezes (PS3). Not had any problems with multiplayer.

Loved the campaign.

I actually tried that, but Caspian has so many trees, I had to jump out the jet and ended up dying to 8 noobs below me. Damn 3D spotting.

If I ever get the game trust me I will find a way to Kamikazee the f*ck out of those infantry. :lol:

Haven't played singleplayer or co-op yet, but the multiplayer is solid - for me, at least. Very little connection issues, and the shotguns can do more than hold their own.

There have been times where it would take about 30+ minutes to find a game, though. Pacing still isn't as fast as COD (not a big deal, actually), but it gets pretty damn close in some cases.

Although I'll probably end up playing MW3 more than BF3 when it's released, it feels good to know that I'll have another military FPS to fall back on once I get bored of the other.

It's likely that I'll be alternating between the two as time goes on.
