Also guys remember...

When all the DLC IS released subtract the total cost of what it would normally cost you to buy the DLC by itself.

For example (estimating) IF it is sold as a monthly pack of DLC

9 months at 400 points for each "monthly set" equals 3600 points.

It costs you 50 dollars for a 4000 points card.

So that leaves 400 points or 5 dollars.

Now those estimates are low and imagine if EACH item will cost you a different price.

So you are paying 5 dollars a month for Elite.

Now in either way you put it.

You are paying 4 dollars a month for Elite and getting DLC for FREE.

You are paying for the DLC and getting Elite for "almost free"

Dont you think you are coming out ahead ?

Even if the DLC was garbage and only worth 25 bucks you still wind up paying an extra 2 dollars a month for Elite.

Its like paying for a DVD with free online access that doesnt work. You still knew the DVD came with it and at least you got the DVD.

And if you really want to mince words....

Do you remember that part that said "no refunds" and "Activision reserves the right to modify or end online features" and the part that said there are "no guarantess to the accessability of oniline features".

I can understand if you bought a "gaurantee" to have a perfectly working vacuum cleaner with a lifetime warrantee that broke when you opened the box it came in. Then you find the company lied. And they closed down.

But this is not the case here they didnt lie and they said they are working on it. As for the App they DID say "once available".

BTW forgive the 4 or 5 posts in a row. The SHOULD have linked below each person I was reponding to . Then all of a sudden this one page thread turned into a 4 page thread and threw them all at the end.

Is not any proof. He was just giving you an example. He was stating that as when map packs came out they may have been in 4 sets.

The Elite page that says 20 peices means that one map will be one peice.

If you are reading anything more into those statements right there then they are not misleading you. You would just be assuming. Just because someone else here may have mentioned 20 peices may include images and avatar items doesnt mean it was true.

What I meant to imply is there was no public beta... and what I mean by that is that there was no stress test on the system, which was why it was down for a month.

I bought hardned edition, I'm a founder. I'm not clueless, hop off bro.

And thats a completely irrelivant comparison.

Food goes bad in a matter of hours, Call of Duty elite doesn't start your subscription until you entered the code. You in no way lost any valuable subscription time waiting for it to work for a month.

Everyone has to start somewhere. So hop off. I'd like to see you maintain multiple servers, then code multiple interactive web pages using XHTML, PHP, AJAX, JavaScript.

THEN code the software itself that controls the data, connections, etc. using either Python, PHP, or C#/C++/C depending on whether they're using a Unix/Linux or windows-based server

Yeah? didn't think so. Cut them some slack. Programming and scripting is tough work.

Elite is a joke and was a way to ensure people spent extra money on the game. Doesn't matter if you like the game you just bought all the DLC anyways, true its at a discount but still. All the stats from elite should have stayed in game like on blackops. The competitions and challenges are a great idea but shouldn't be something you have to pay for to enjoy.

You have no reason to be mad at not getting new map packs.

Yes, I know the service should of been released and everything should be been doing swell from day 1, but this was a new service with no beta. It's there fault completely, but theres nothing you can do about it now.

It's this.....It's that.....most of all its a jip...the bata worked better than what they have now!!

sure they will get it right someday but youd think with the billion that they have made on just the game sales they could have by now payed some overtime or hired more people to get it right by now..I understand PATIENT but come on...even on the bata i got my badges and very few compatitions canceled.....ELITE=epic fail...also in november they will ask for more $ for this,they should not start the timer on the year till its up and running the way they promissed..

I competed in 2 lonewolf operations. I signed up for both on the website. It said enlisted, yet when I checked on my 360, I had to reenlist. It said I was entered. My first one I got silver. I can go to the leaderboard and see it. Yet, nothing in my showcase?

The second one I checked 5 min before it and it said I was enlisted. I play the 3 hour event to go back to an event that doesn't exist. The next day they post a "lol sorry itz canceled." Wow.....thanks. Apparently the 2nd poster never tried an event.

There is no communication between the 360 and website. Its pathedic.

And for the guy who said to expect problems with this, I agree. HOWEVER you know who did it right on their launch? Battlefield 3! Their battlelog works. I can check my stats anytime anywhere. They keep improving it. You don't need EA's funding for it. www.bf3stats.com works, they are 3rd party. They did the same for other games in the past. They can do it, why can't Activision?

We have every right to be upset about a service that we pay for, not working.

all this boils dow 2 is they want people to PAY so their clan can get EXP ! THIS IS THE ONLY REASON WHY think about it. I for 1 REFUSE to pay due to this reason they have made over a billion and still are greedy. People are buying premium JUST to level their clan and this is what IW wants you 2 do but I for one have a brain and choose 2 use it and realized what they are doing. To a degree this is 100% EXPLOITATION dont buy it support this post

I totally agree with this, iv played afew lone wolf operations, 1 i got a gold (came 28th) and 2 others i never even played just inlisted in i got 2 bronzes in the both of them, yet i still have no badges in my showcase? I know launching a application like this, there will be plenty of glitches, but iv been waiting a while too. If IW or whoever is managing ELITE could just take the time, re think what they are wanting to get out of this and do it. I think they arent in much of a rush because they are too keen to get more founders online and buying the hardened version, but seriously at the moment what are the benefits of having founders status? Yes you can give clans your 500xp, yes you get titles and emblems, yes you get the chance to go into lone wolf operations (not working in my opinion). The idea that i paid £35 for titles, emblems, videos and some xp really does tick me off. But in the long run i honestly believe that is well worth it! New maps, before anyone else free of charge? Clan operations (well their online)? People are too quick to bag on Elite, but to launch something like this, of course there are going to be afew bugs, but i think these are being addressed as soon as they can. And for people moaning about clan operations, im sure its a wiser buisness choice to hold them off to get afew more players to buy the harderned edition. At the end of the day i think we should be patient and in the long run things will get good. Rant over! tom. (uPlum).
